DAYS after revealing it will have changes in the new PVL season, Petro Gazz tapped Oliver Almadro as its new coach.
The Angels officially announced yesterday the arrival of Almadro at the helm of Petro Gazz.

“New year! New beginnings! New heights! Let’s all welcome coach Oliver Almadro as the new head coach of the Petro Gazz Angels,” the Angels said on their social media pages.
Almadro has a huge role to fill after replacing champion tactician Rald Ricafort, who has moved to PLDT.
Ricafort was with Petro Gazz for four years and led the Angels to two straight Reinforced Conference titles last year.
Before coming to Petro Gazz, Almadro parted ways with Choco Mucho last November.
He left the Flying Titans in the middle of the Reinforced Conference to focus on the UAAP with the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Almadro was with Choco Mucho for three seasons.
The collegiate champion coach fell short of reaching the podium with the Flying Titans after finishing fourth in Open Conference and seventh spot in the Invitational and Reinforced Conference.
Petro Gazz is expected to name its new acquisitions ahead of the Open Conference set to begin on Feb. 4.
Recently, libero Bang Pineda left the Angels to join the Akari Chargers, while ace spiker Myla Pablo is reportedly set to leave the team as well.
Mainstays Chie Saet, Jonah Sabete, Remy Palma, Djanel Cheng, MJ Phillips, Grethcel Soltones, Cienne Cruz, Nicole Tiamzon, Marian Buitre, and Yeye Gabarda are expected to welcome new acquisition Des Clemente ahead of the Open Conference.
The Angels have posted a Facebook reel photo of their mainstays, Almadro and Clemente.
Clemente, 28, is a middle blocker who played for F2 Logistics Cargo Movers since 2017.
