WITH nothing but pride and bragging rights at stake, also-ran Arellano University faces another eliminated team in Emilio Aguinaldo College today in the 98th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex.
The match is set at 2 p.m., with the winner gaining some consolation before calling it a season.
The Lady Chiefs, last season’s bridesmaids who currently hold a 4-4 card, ended their campaign last Saturday after losing 25-21, 16-25, 25-21, 20-25, 10-15 to Letran.
The Lady Knights are also out of Final Four contention.
Marianne Padillon, Laika Tudlasan, Robbie Matawaran, Donnalyn Paralejas, Pauline De Guzman, and team captain Trina Abay will be counted upon by Arellano.
The Lady Generals absorbed their fourth consecutive loss last Friday at the hands of Jose Rizal University 29-25, 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 4-15.
