THE country’s only two world boxing champions in the minimum flyweight division – Pedro Taduran and Melvin Jerusalem – will be the major awardees, while Paris Olympic double gold medalist Carlos EdrielYulo will receive a special award during the 2nd Pacquiao-Elorde Awards Night on March 20 at the Okada Grand Ballroom in Paranaque.

“This is the second year that we are collaborating with Sen. Manny Pacquiao in recognizing our outstanding boxing achievers like Pedro and Melvin in 2024,” boxing promoter Liza Elorde said yesterday during the Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum at the PSC conference room in Manila.

Taduran, co-managed by siblings Cucuy and Martin Elorde, holds the International Boxing Federation minimum flyweight belt, while Jerusalem, who holds the World Boxing Council strap, will be on hand to receive their awards, according to Mrs. Elorde.
