ALL is set for the Alas Pilipinas women’s national volleyball team exhibition match against South Korea this Friday, with stars Jia De Guzman, Angel Canino and Sisi Rondina out to lead the team.
In celebration of the 75th Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Korea along with the commemoration of 126th Philippine Independence Day, Alas takes on world No. 39 Korea for a friendly duel at the Daegugwang-yeogsi Buggu Ogsanlo in Daegu City.Philippine National Volleyball Federation board member and national team commission head Tony Boy Liao told Malaya-Business Insight the team left yesterday.
Eya Laure, Fifi Sharma, Thea Gagate, Dawn Catindig, Arah Panique, Faith Nisperos, Vanie Gandler, Jen Nierva, Julia Coronel, Cherry Nunag and Dell Palomata will also be counted upon against the Koreans.
The friendly is part of the country’s preparations in hosting the upcoming FIVB Challenger Cup in early July at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
