PHILIPPINE AIR Force emerged triumphant in a fierce yet friendly rivalry over Philippine Army in the elite team division of the recent Swiss Military Hanowa Bridgetowne Challenge at the Bridgetowne Obstacle Course in Quezon City.
The Air Force squad of Sherwin Managil, Rabie Jason Oba-ob, Edwin Langbayan, Chai Lusanta, Melissa Campus and Mirasol Abad bested the Army team of Andrico Mahilum, Aris Africa, Albert Valencia, Ailene Tolentino, Joy Albino, Maybel Lynne-Perjes and Silamie Gutang.
In the recreational division, the Batan May Laban team of Vivien Lee Choi, Mark McMahon, Marlene Capones, Arthur Tselichev and Cyrene Morales outshone the Tagumpay team composed of Phoebe Ng, Kat Figuracion, Jannie Alipoon and Ruel Quirrez.
Ng, the Swiss Military Hanowa general manager for Asia and the Pacific, flew in from Hongkong for the obstacle race in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the leading Swiss-made timepiece. “We are here underscoring that our watches complement the modern-day lifestyle complete with its daily obstacles and challenges, which is why our slogan is ‘The Only Limit is You,”’ Ng noted.
