DESPITE falling short in the Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals, Adamson University coach JP Yude saw silver linings that could boost his team in the 86th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.
“Siguro we’re grateful and thankful to the Lord na (umabot) kami dito sa championship. It was a great experience for us especially rebuilding kami,” Yude said.
“Nabigyan namin ng magandang laban iyong La Salle. Siguro marami pa kaming kulang talaga. Dito namin nakita na hindi pa enough iyong preparation namin,” he added.
The Lady Falcons missed the crown last Sunday as reigning UAAP champion La Salle scored 19-25, 22-25, 17-25 victory in the deciding third game.
The San Marcelino-based crew stunned La Salle in Game 1 but could not get the job done.
“For me, marami pa kaming kakulangan and ide-develop sa mga bata but still kumbaga iyong run namin dito sa Shakey’s Invitationals, it’s good for me and I’m satisfied doon sa performance ng mga bata,” Yude said.
“I’m proud of them kasi hindi ko naman ine-expect ito. One month pa lang kami nage-ensayo and nandito kami ngayon. It’s all by the grace of God nakarating kami dito.”
