The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) has launched vital relief operations for families affected by recent typhoons in the Cagayan Valley and Bicol regions. On December 21, the initiative provided essential support to over 1,000 households impacted by these natural disasters.

Similarly, in Bicol, over 450 beneficiaries from multiple communities, such as Brgy. Igualdad (Zone 5) HOAI, Canda Neighborhood HOAI, and Lerma Urban Poor HOAI, among others in Pili and Naga City, Camarines Sur, as well as Daet, Camarines Norte, were also provided with essential supplies.
This relief effort aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call to redirect savings from reduced Christmas celebrations to assist communities severely affected by the recent typhoons.
“Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by these disasters,” stated SHFC president and CEO Federico Laxa. “Thanks to our dedicated team’s efforts, we have been able to deliver early Christmas gifts and crucial relief to our member-beneficiaries in Cagayan Valley and the Bicol region.”
SHFC plays a pivotal role in implementing the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program. Currently, SHFC is advancing numerous projects across various locations, including San Fernando City in Pampanga, Davao City, Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental, and Puerto Princesa in Palawan. In total, over 100 projects are underway that will generate approximately 415,000 housing units
