All for Sustainable Mining at the 70th ANMSEC: PMSEA’s Groundbreaking Partnership with Business Sweden
Ambassador Harald Fries, Embassy of Sweden chargé d’affaires, delivered a keynote address at the 70th ANMSEC’s Community Relations Conference held on 20 Nov.
The Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association (PMSEA) is partnering with Business Sweden to promote sustainable mining practices. Sealed with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this transformative collaboration is set to be a major step forward for the country’s mining industry. According to PMSEA’s president, Luis R. Sarmiento, ASEAN Eng., “PMSEA has worked with various foreign missions here in the country to bolster our mining industry’s capabilities. Every year, we also welcome the diplomatic corps to the Annual Mine Safety and Environment Conference in Baguio.”
Sweden was the partner country at the just-concluded 70th ANMSEC. ANMSEC is PMSEA’s banner event held every November in Baguio, coinciding with Mine Safety Week. Sweden was partner country at the 70th ANMSEC.
