The Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) 2025 pageant season officially commenced with a press presentation of its 69 delegates at the Makati Shangri-La hotel on February 15. The event, called “The Reveal”, saw women from all over the Philippines introducing themselves to the media. One of them will represent the country at upcoming Miss Universe coronation night scheduled for November 21 in Thailand. BingoPlus is the co-presenter of this year’s pageant.

This year’s edition is considered one of the most competitive and celebrated in the pageant’s history, featuring a mix of fresh faces, returnees, and crossover beauty queens vying for the title

Some notable contestants include Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez, who is returning eight years after winning Reina Hispanoamericana 2017, Ahtisa Manalo, Miss International 2018 first runner-up and MUPH 2024 second runner-up, and 2023 Miss Earth-Air Yllana Marie Aduana. This year, MUPH welcomes a strong lineup of Filipina beauties from overseas, adding more excitement to the competition. MUPH executive vice president Voltaire Tayag acknowledged the presence of former local and international queens, emphasizing that the judges will have the final say.

Another highlight of the afternoon – Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up Ariella “Ara” Arida has been appointed as MUPH’s new national director for training and development. Arida expressed her support for the contestants and her commitment to helping the organization achieve its goal of winning the fifth Miss Universe crown. “ I salute all the girls for joining and for pursuing their dreams.
