What happened in the last three days of the Marcoses before they fled Malacañang?

Daryl Yap writes and directs “Maid in Malacañang,” a movie that presenta the final days that led to the Marcos family’s exit from the palace along the Pasig River.

It stars Cesar Montano as the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Ruffa Gutierrez as former First Lady Imelda Marcos, with Cristine Reyes, Diego Loyzaga, and Ella Cruz playing the couple’s kids Imee, Bongbong and Irene, respectively.

Playing roles that are front and center are Karla Estrada, Elizabeth Oropesa, and Beverly Salviejo, who are the maids in the midst of the controversial family.

The intriguing film is produced by Viva Films and intends to give a glimpse of the last 72 hours of the Marcoses inside the Palace before fleeing to Hawaii during the 1986 People Power Revolution – a story shared through the eyes of a “reliable source.”

The film will also show the lighter and more carefree side of the then First Family.

“Maid in Malacañang” is set to have a theatrical release starting July 20.
