Julie Anne San Jose has grown up in front of viewers’ eyes. From her days on “PopStar Kids” in 2005 to her current roles as a singer, dancer, host, and actress, Julie Anne has continuously evolved as an artist. Today, she takes on another transformation, embodying a “stronger, bolder, and more confident” persona as she becomes Ginebra San Miguel’s 2025 calendar girl.
At the grand reveal at the Diamond Hotel in Manila last Wednesday, Julie shared her journey toward accepting the calendar girl offer and her experience during the shoot.

Known for her role in ”Maria Clara at Ibarra,” Julie noted that the calendar project was a “kakaibang experience,” as she posed in two-piece swimsuits in six stunning layouts inspired by works of art.
“Sobrang saya po, sobrang thrilled, sobrang honored, and I’m very, very happy to be part of the Ginebra San Miguel family,” she said.
Julie explained that being chosen as a Ginebra calendar girl was a meaningful opportunity for her. She felt honored to represent a brand that has previously worked with “incredible and exceptional women” such as Anne Curtis and Marian Rivera.
The 2025 calendar theme, Obra Maestra (Masterpiece), allowed Julie to bring various facets of her artistry to life. In one of the six layouts, Julie embodies the courage and strength of a fearless Filipina. In another, she is “Galatea,” symbolizing creativity and passion, much like Ginebra’s creative drink mixes. Her portrayal of “Diana” as a huntress holding a bow and arrow resonated particularly with her, symbolizing her artistic pursuit of improvement and exploring new horizons.
Julie’s connection to Ginebra San Miguel goes beyond the calendar. She feels a strong affinity with the brand’s representation of Filipino values like resilience and strength. Reflecting on the brand’s legacy, she said, “Marami tayong mga challenges pero as long as we stick to our values, na hindi tayo sumusuko, basta basta lumalaban tayo palagi.”
Proudly aligning herself with Ginebra’s “never-say-die” spirit, she added, “I’m very, very careful and nakaka-proud to represent something na talagang Philippine-made and talagang Pinoy.”
She sees this partnership as an opportunity to embody and celebrate these values in her career and personal life.
This transformation also marks a pivotal point in Julie’s career. “I wanna show a more confident, more…stronger and braver Julie Anne, and this is a start of something new para po sa akin,” she said.
With each calendar layout capturing a different side of her, she hopes to showcase a new version of herself. “This is gonna be a different me they will see, a different Julie this time — stronger, bolder, and more confident in her own skin,” she shared.
Looking forward, Julie is excited about future engagements with Ginebra San Miguel, particularly connecting with fans across the Philippines. She plans to attend music festivals and brand events, stating, “I’m very much excited and…looking forward to traveling to different places in the Philippines to connect with my fellow ka-barangays and promote the brand through drinks and music.”
Julie, also a fan of gin, cherishes the memories of seeing her family enjoy Ginebra San Miguel at gatherings. She recalls, “Growing up, I always saw my lolo drink Ginebra San Miguel. Ginebra has always been part of our lives for every gathering, whether Christmas, birthday parties, or just a simple celebration.”
On the 190th anniversary of Ginebra San Miguel, this year’s calendar commemorates the brand’s enduring legacy and dedication to quality. GSMI Marketing Manager Ron Molina shared that Julie Anne’s resilience and dedication to her craft perfectly mirror the brand’s long-standing reputation. “Her dedication to her craft and resilience in the industry mirrors Ginebra San Miguel’s 190-year legacy of excellence, making her the perfect choice for our next Calendar Girl,” Molina said.
As “Asia’s Limitless Star,” Julie Anne has proven her versatility and resilience across her 19-year career. Currently, she captivates audiences as a judge on “The Voice Kids Philippines” and a host of “The Clash.” Her journey with Ginebra San Miguel embodies her limitless potential, inspiring fans and representing the “ganado” and “never-say-die” spirit that has made her a role model for many.
Since its inception in 1988, beauty queens, TV, and movie actresses, and models who have made their mark in their respective fields have graced the Ginebra San Miguel calendar, including Marian Rivera (2009 and 2014), Anne Curtis (2011), Solenn Heusaff (2012), Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach (2019), Sanya Lopez (2020), and Heaven Peralejo (2024).
