Fresh from her stint in the musical “Hamilton,” Rachelle Ann Go brings the Broadway and West End experience this Valentine’s Day to Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) Marriott Grand Ballroom in her upcoming “The Homecoming” concert on February 14, 8 p.m.
Go began her career by joining several talent competitions in variety shows, including “Eat Bulaga!” when she was 11 years old. However, she first got her taste of the limelight when she won in “Search for a Star” in 2004 and from then on made a flourishing career in show business.
The following year saw her winning Silver at the Shanghai Music Festival for her song “From The Start”, and then later being awarded for the song “Isang Lahi” in the 2005 Astana International Song Festival in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Her international popularity was further pushed to the spotlight via her collaboration with artists Lexi Lawson, Arianna Afsar, Julia Harriman and Shoba Narayan for “First Burn” which topped the iTunes U.S. charts at number one.
After spending years performing in the premier theaters in Manhattan and London mainly playing her iconic roles as Gigi Van Tranh in “Miss Saigon” and Eliza Schuyler in “Hamilton,” which earned her a BroadwayWorld UK best actress plum in 2018, the Philippine Pride returns to the country to wow her Filipino fans anew with her own repertoire of theater hits.
Joining Rachelle will be no less than Miss Lea Salonga herself as special guest, together with Erik Santos, Zephanie, and with the musical accompaniment of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. The Homecoming also features the musical direction of Marc Lopez and overall direction of Paul Basinillo.
Tickets are now available at the RWM Box Office and all TicketWorld outlets. Visit www.rwmanila.com or download the RWM Mobile App for more upcoming events at Resorts World Manila.
