Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR), the Danish soft rock, pop rock group that has captured the hearts of many Filipinos since the early ‘90s, is coming over on Dec 4 to captivate local fans once more with their millions-seller hit songs. MLTR’s comeback show is organized by Eternal Entertainment with Steve O’Neal Productions as promoter.
Michael Learns To Rock was formed in 1988 in Aarhus, Denmark with Jascha Richter, Mikkel Lentz, Kare Wanscher and Soren Madsen as original members. The band now performs without Soren Madsen. MLTR has sold over 11 million records over the course of their career with majority sold in Europe and Asia.
The group’s second album has sold over 11 million records and counting. The album includes the singles “Out of the Blue,” “Sleeping Child” and “25 Minutes.” Their next album has hits like “Someday,” “That’s Why (You Go Away)” “Paint My Love,” “Nothing To Lose” and many more.
Another of their hit songs, “Take Me to Your Heart” was released in 1991. In 1993, “Sleeping Child” was included in their album “Colours.” In 1996, Michael Learns To Rock came out with “Paint My Love – Greatest Hits,” their first greatest hit album. Their album “Nothing to Lose” was released in 1997, and “Blue Night” was released in 2000. Included in their 3rd studio album was “That’s Why (You Go Away,)” a ballad written by Jascha Richter who also wrote most of their hits songs.
