YOUNG and dynamic Pasig City Mayor Vivo Sotto opened the “Love Thy NeighborGoods” trade fair, a week-long showcase of homegrown products at Ayala Malls The 30th.
Over 25 entrepreneurs from all over Pasig City are participating at the trade fair where specially-made handcrafted products and home-made food concoctions are the center of attraction at Ayala Malls The 30th in partnership with the Pasig Livelihood Training Center.
The trade fair, undertaken to encourage income generation apart from employment by way of business ventures by graduates-turned-entrepreneurs, will run from August 26 to September 1.
Singing beauty Princess Velasco provided the entertainment at the event.
“Our goal here is to help people, not only in the short term, but to help empower them to have better lives, for them to help themselves,” said Mayor Vivo Sotto in an interview after the ribbon-cutting. “Gagawin nating sustainable ito. Tutulungan natin sila from product development, packaging and marketing.”
The trade fair goes in line with Ayala Malls’ social responsibility through the provision of help and support towards the growth of the community.
