Shayne Sava from Angono, Rizal and Kim de Leon of Batangas emerged as the ultimate survivors in the seventh season of GMA’s original reality-based artista search, “StarStruck.”

Shayne, 17, and Kim, 19, bested finalists Lexi Gonzales, 19, from Manila and Allen Ansay, 16, from Camarines Sur at the Final Judgment on Sunday.

His dad was a former OFW and his mom is a housewife.

Shayne believes a “Starstruck” winner should always be tough. “Matatag sa kahit anong laban, hindi susuko, handang tanggapin ‘yung mga kamalian niya, opinion, at advice ng iba.”

Kim says a real winner is someone who is humble. “Always keep your feet on the ground, talent, and character. Of course, hindi dapat mawala ‘yung page-enjoy para mas maganda ‘yung kalabasan ng performance,” he said.

This year’s winners were determined by the votes of the audience (50%) and the “Starstruck” council composed of Heart Evangelista, Cherie Gil, Jose Manalo (the other 50%).

Kim and Shayne each received an exclusive management contract from GMA worth P5 million, P1 million cash, and a new house.

The seventh season of “StarStruck” was hosted by Jennylyn Mercado and Dingdong Dantes, while Kyline Alcantara hosted “Inside Starstruck” on YouTube.
