HOUSE Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo and his brother, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, would have topped the 2025 senatorial elections if the polls were held today, the September 6 to 13 survey of Pulse Asia showed.
The survey asked respondents to choose up to 12 people from a list of 74 personalities that they would vote for if the midterm polls were held today.
The results showed Rep. Tulfo topping the list with a 60.8 percent voter preference, followed by his brother Ben with 49.6 percent, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III with 48 percent, senators Pia Cayetano and Bong Go with 41.3 percent and 40.3 percent, respectively, and former President Rodrigo Duterte with 38 percent.
Also in the top 12 were Makati Mayor Abby Binay at 37.5 percent, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. at 35.9 percent, former Senators Panfilo Lacson and Manny Pacquiao at 35.5 percent and 31.9 percent, respectively, and Senators Imee Marcos and Ronald dela Rosa with 29.8 percent and 26.2 percent, respectively.
Trailing behind them were Senator Lito Lapid (24.7 percent), former Senator Gringo Honasan (21.5 percent), House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas lawmaker Camille Villar (21.2 percent) and former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan (20.5 percent).
Rep. Tulfo, Sotto, Cayetano, Binay, Revilla, Lacson, Pacquiao, and Marcos were endorsed last week by President Marcos Jr. as members of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate while Go and Dela Rosa were endorsed by Duterte as Partido Demokratiko ng Pilipinas candidates.
