Philippine candidate Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano made pageant history by winning the country’s first ever crown at the Face of Beauty International 2024 coronation night held last Thursday, September 19 at the Lin Palace in Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan.

Her court includes Taiwan’s Anita Wang (1st runner-up), Colombia’s Stephanie Fernandez (2nd runner-up), Tonga’s Sabne Lata Mailei (3rd runner-up), and Thailand’s Warunchana Radomlek (4th runner-up).

Bilasano is the first Filipina winner in the 12-year history of the New Zealand-based international pageant.

The 25-year-old speech pathologist from Albay, Bicol, whose impressive performance during the pageant preliminaries made her a crowd favorite, also bagged the People’s Choice Award, as well as the Best in Swimsuit, Best in National Costume, and Best in Long Gown.

She earned her Face of Beauty Philippines title as one of the finalists in the recently concluded 2024 Miss World Philippines pageant.

Bilasano earned her Face of Beauty Philippines title after finishing as a finalist in the 2024 Miss World Philippines pageant in July, a national competition under Arnold Vegafria’s ALV Pageant Circle.

The proud advocate of sustainable fashion joins the elite roster of Miss World Philippines and ALV Pageant Circle queens whose first entrants to major global pageants eventually led to a winning streak, including Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Marquez, Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla, and Miss Multinational 2018 Sophia Senoron.

Vegafria, who flew to Taiwan for the coronation night, is ecstatic over Bilasano’s victory.

“Belle proved herself worthy of the crown from the very start. The fact that she clinched all the major awards is a clear testimony to her impeccable style and panache. She truly lived up to the pageant’s title as this year’s deserving Face of Beauty. But of course, credit also goes to her glam team and other noteworthy mentors who made sure she looked her best and conducted herself impeccably,” he said.

Bilasano is expected to fly back to Manila over the weekend for her victory press conference today, September 24.
