PHILIPPINE Airlines (PAL) is set to expand its operations in Australia with the additional weekly from Manila to Brisbane by October this year.
PAL is expanding its nonstop flights from Manila to Brisbane to daily flights, starting on October 27.
“We are poised to intensify efforts to promote tourism between the Philippines and Australia,” said Capt. Stanley Ng PAL president and chief operating officer in a statement yesterday.
With this, PAL now has the widest network of flights from the Philippines to
four cities in Australia, offering more routes than any other airline.
In addition to the daily flights to Brisbane, PAL operates daily flights to Sydney, five
weekly flights from Melbourne and three weekly flights from Manila to Perth.
“This enhanced connectivity will significantly boost people-to-people exchanges and tourism, and facilitate greater opportunities for trade and investment as the Philippines and Australia advance our strategic partnership,” said Philippine Ambassador to Australia Hellen De La Vega.
