‘They prefer to watch shorter viewing materials and that is really scary for those working in the full-length film industry.’
RUFFA Gutierrez has been very busy lately doing “Love Thy Woman,” “House Arrest of Us” and “Stay in Love.” Her next project will be a big series but she is not at liberty to reveal any details yet.
Did she have any date on Valentine’s Day?

“Wala, no romantic date,” she said. “My daughters and I are busy moving to our new house in Alabang. Everyday naman can be Valentine’s day if you’re in love, but I’m not in love now. Rest muna ang puso ko after coming out of a 7-year relationship.”
Why did she end their relationship with Jordan Mouyal?
“I need space. He’s a good person naman. Wala akong masasabi sa kanya. But I want to be alone muna.”
But she’s now being linked to former Mayor Herbert Bautista.
“Ewan ko nga kung ba’t kami natsitsismis. Nakakaloka. Siguro they liked our team up in ‘House Arrest.’ Andaming nag-message sa’kin. Nakukyutan daw sila. I look at him as a mentor as I learn so much from him. Yun lang. No romantic involvement.”
It’s also been reported that she’s reconciling with ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas. “Si Yilmaz, siya lang ang lalaking hanggang ngayon iniiyakan ko pa rin. ‘Yung sa amin kasi, malalim.
Nagpakasal kami, we had two kids, I left my career for him, tumira ako with him sa ibang bansa. It’s the kind of pain na gusto mong kalimutan. I still love him, but I have to love myself first.”
How did they reconnect? “We last saw each other 13 years ago. Nung lock in taping ko for ‘Stay in Love,’ he called up. He realizes daw that time is precious and he wants to spend more time with our kids. He says ako raw ang greatest love niya. Siempre, mahirap talaga ako makakalimutan, kasi masarap akong magmahal. He wants to make things right for the kids. Pupunta raw siya rito at bibisitahin ang mga anak niya. This summer daw, depende sa pandemic and travel restrictions. Or I can go there. Sabi pa, you can come here and bring your family. You can also bring a date, pero one way ticket lang daw ang bilihin, kasi hindi na siya makakabalik.”
Her daughter Lorin is turning 18 and she has given her permission for Lorin to join showbiz.
Will she be a stage mom like her mom, Annabelle Rama?
“Naku, nag-iisa lang ang mommy ko. Basta I will impart to my daughter all the lessons my parents taught me. Bawal siyang mag-boyfriend. I don’t want her to feel the pain that I felt then.”
Someone said she’s moving to Alabang so she can be near Derek Ramsay.
“Hahahaha! Si Derek, masarap na kabarkada, mabait na kaibigan, I enjoy his company.
Ganun lang. Si Derek totropahin lang, hindi jojowain. Isa pa, I’m happily single right now.”

Barbie Forteza used to be part of “Sunday Pinasaya” for four years, but when it was replaced by “All Out Sundays,” she was not included among its original mainstays. Now, after a year, GMA-7 has made her join the new show and she was officially introduced last Sunday by Alden Richards and Rayver Cruz as their new co-host in “All Out Sundays.”
“I’m so glad to be now a part of this show,” said Barbie. “Fan ako ng ‘All Out Sundays’ and I really watch it regularly, so I’m so happy and honored na kasama na ako rito ngayon.”
It’s a memorable week for Barbie as her primetime series, “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday” also started airing its fresh original episodes last week. February 14 is also very memorable for Barbie as it’s not only the day she returned on a Sunday noontime show, but it’s also Valentine’s Day and her boyfriend of three years, Jak Roberto, surprised her with a fabulous date held right at the back of his pick up truck.
“Nagulat ako kasi nag-effort talaga siya at ginawa niyang lounge ‘yung likod ng truck niya, complete with beautiful flowers, colorful balloons and a special dinner,” she said.
And for Jak, she wrote this special message for him in her social media account on the day of hearts: “You really managed to surprise me on this special day. Haaaay nako @jakroberto. Tatlong taon na tayo, pero feeling ko, nililigawan mo pa rin ako!”
You can really say that Barbie is so blessed and fortunate as both her career and love life are really going on well. Not every star is that lucky!

But my father had a previous wife, played by Miss Carmina Villaroel as Dulce, na iniwan siya kasi mahirap siya. With Tanya and me as his family, his life improved at yumaman siya, so bumalik si Carmina at inagaw sa amin ang father ko.”
She’s happy to be working with senior cast members who are all great actors in their own right. “Si Miss Carmina, as the scheming and greedy first wife of my dad, nakatrabaho ko na before in ‘Kambal Karibal’ pero kontrabida siya ngayon dito. I’m so happy to work with her again as she’s very helpful in giving me acting tips. Very comfortable ako with her kahit magkaaway kami sa story at aapihin niya ako nang husto.”
