‘Nakakatuwa kasi kahit hindi nila ma-understand ang dialog namin, they felt daw ‘yung bigat ng eksena dahil sa acting namin – Ruru Madrid’

BIANCA Umali and Ruru Madrid’s primetime drama series, “The Write One,” is ending this Thursday and their fans are eager to find out what happens to their characters, Joyce and Liam, as the show concludes.
“Naku, basta huwag po kayong bibitaw kasi ang finale week namin, talagang punong-puno ng drama, action, suspense and maraming scenes na kinunan namin on location in the beautiful city of Paris in France,” says Bianca.
“Shooting our final scenes in Paris is so fulfilling kasi it’s really one of the most romantic places in the world,” chimes Ruru. “Will love be rekindled between us ni Bianca after the problems we went through? Or will it be the bittersweet ending for Liam and Joyce?”
He says they shot a heavy dramatic scene in a public place and many foreign tourists got curious and watched them as they enacted their scene in front of the camera. “After we did the scene, nagulat kami, kasi nagpalakpakan silang lahat,” relates Ruru. “We were so flattered. Nakakatuwa kasi kahit hindi nila ma-understand ang dialog namin, they felt daw ‘yung bigat ng eksena dahil sa acting namin.”
The show is the first collaboration between Philippine broadcast giant GMA Network and leading pan-regional over-the-top (OTT) video streaming service Viu. It is also the first GMA Public Affairs show with scenes shot in Europe.

Jameson Blake was a “Pinoy Big Brother” Teens 2015 discovery. He made quite a splash when he did the indie film “2 Cool 2 Be Forgotten,” for which he won the Cinema One Filmfest best supporting actor award. He then did lead roles in movies like “Mama’s Girl,” “Haunted Forest,” “So Connected” and “Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi,” all made outside of ABS-CBN.
He is now hosting “The Chosen One, Chugi Night,” which is connected with “The Chosen One, Kakatacute,” an interactive horror comedy show led by Angeline Quinto and Chad Kinis.
There are many characters in the story and each Saturday, Jameson and co-host Karina Bautista will lead the elimination or “pili” night where viewers can vote which one of the show’s characters they will choose to die in the next episode.
Many folks thought he’d hit it big after the successive movies he did in a starring role. Is he happy with the way it’s going now? “Yes, I’m satisfied naman. I didn’t expect it to really boom. But as it is, steady lang siya. Hindi naman ako nawawalan ng work. I’m surviving, so I’m not complaining, but I’m still waiting for the right role and the right timing.”
Aside from “The Chosen One,” he is also doing a sitcom for TV5, “Jack and Jill sa Diamond Hills,” with Jake Cuenca and Sue Ramirez. He is also shooting a new movie, “Ang Ina Mo,” with Charlie Dizon, for director Joel Lamangan. And he’s really happy to be part of PIE (Pinoy Interactive Entertainment) Channel’s first anniversary celebration and its brand new season of exciting programs and new ways of winning the hearts of “KaTroPIEs” around the country.

The fans of the Allen Ansay-Sofia Pablo love team are elated as they have a new show, “In My Dreams,” a digital drama series from GMA Public Affairs which is now airing on their Facebook page and YouTube channel. After their hit team up in “Luv Is: Caught in His Arms,” Sparkle sweethearts Allen and Sofia are out to solidify their tandem with the six-part series about lucid dreaming.
The story is about Sofia as Sari, a certified NBSB who resorts to lucid dreaming for some excitement. In her dreams, she meets a handsome man named Jecoy (Allen). The two fall in love, but will the romance Sari found in her dreams eventually become a reality?
“It’s really enjoyable to do, kasi sobrang kakaiba po ‘yung kwento,” says Sofia. “Iba ‘yung dream world sa reality, so nakakapag-explore ako ng kakaibang acting style.”
How about Allen? “Very challenging po ang material kasi the story is really something different,” he says. “Mas na-realize ko nga na may mga kailangan at pwede pa pala akong gawin sa craft ko kasi maganda ‘yung twist ng kuwento.”
