It is still a mystery who will be the nemesis of Jane De Leon’s Darna.

Actor Joshua Garcia has been tapped to play the leading man in the much-awaited series, “Darna: The TV Series.”

Darna will, of course, be portrayed by Jane de Leon, who waited for two years for the series.

“But it’s worth it,” said Jane, “as the series has no less than supreme director Chito Roño at the helm.

“It will be my first time to work with him. And it was my first time to meet him in person when I was summoned to see him.

“Hindi ko mai-describe ang feeling ko to be able to work with him.”

In will be Joshua’s first time, too, to work with Direk Chito Roño.

Joshua has met Jane, and he was impressed with how she looks. “At napaka-sexy niya,” added Joshua.

Since they are almost of the same age — he’s 23; Jane, 22 — they both think they will get to work together well.

The shooting of “Darna,” according to Direk Chito, will start in November.

It will be the director’s return to the series format after concentrating on films for several years.
