ALDEN Richards, who is turning 30 in January, is being urged by his close friends to finally get a girlfriend.
They say it is high time that he has someone special. In his more than ten years in show business, he has yet to be involved in a serious relationship.
“Truth to tell, I’m a normal guy,” said Alden, “Kaso, ang problema, wala pa akong babaing na-meet na gusto kong ligawan at makarelasyon.”
On the screen, however, Alden has no problem looking for a partner. He is paired with Jasmine Curtis-Smith in GMA’s primetime drama, “The World Between Us,” and soon, with new Kapuso Bea Alonzo in a movie project.
“Pero tatapusin ko muna ‘yung ‘The World Between Us,’” said the actor.

Set to run for senator in the coming elections is Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero, who served for three terms in the senate before his current position.
Governor Chiz is a Bicolano and previously served as the representative of Sorsogon’s first district.
“I’m glad, may series na ‘I Left My Heart in Sorsogon,’ as it shows how I feel about the province,” he said, referring to the upcoming GMA show featuring his wife, Heart Evangelista.
Directed by Mark Sicat de la Cruz, “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” also features Paolo Contis and Richard Yap.

Speaking of Heart, she quickly shot down a comment on social media saying she is sterile.
The truth is Heart and Chiz announced that they were expecting in 2018. However, Heart suffered a miscarriage and they lost the babies — twins.
Senator Chiz has two fraternal twins with his first wife, singer Christine Elizabeth Flores.
They are now 14.
“Mahal na mahal ni Heart ang dalawang bata,” a kibitzer said, “Kulang na lang, siya ang nagsilang sa mga ito. Touched siya every time the twins (Quino and Chesi) serve her favorite food.”

Congresswoman Vilma Santos-Recto reportedly plans to rest for a while in the family farm in Lipa City after the elections. The actress-politician is not running for any position next year.
“Obviously, para makapag-nilay nilay kung pagbibigyan niya ang hiling ng kanyang showbiz followers na gumawa siya ng movie o series,” said a fan. “Sayang naman kasi ang kanyang pagiging ‘Star for All Seasons.’”
Her eldest son, Luis Manzano, is glad his mom will have some time for herself.
Luis is also hoping that he grants his mom’s wish to have an apo.
Luis wed actress Jessy Mendiola in Lipa last February.

Now wearing a gold engagement ring is Filipino Olympian Hidilyn Diaz. Her boyfriend and coach, Julius Naranjo, formally asked for her hand in marriage last Friday, October 15 at the Sheraton Hotel.
The ring was especially made for the country’s first Olympic gold medalist and featured a gold barbell in its design.
Hidilyn has Julius’ permission to continue with her career.
Both Hidilyn and Julius are 30 years old.

Dennis Padilla, who is running for Caloocan councilor in the second district, is keeping his fingers crossed that his daughter, Julia Barretto, will support his bid.
Dennis and Julia’s mom, Marjorie Barretto, have long been separated.
Julia and her siblings, Claudia and Leon, still live with Marjorie.
Dennis now has a family of his own.
Julia doesn’t make secret that she is in a relationship with Gerald Anderson, who will soon star in a project with viral singer Gigi de Lana.
Gigi, 26, was a contestant in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” on “It’s Showtime.” She was also part of the film, “Four Sisters Before the Wedding.”

Gerald has not given Julia any reason to worry in spite of some people insinuating that he might develop feelings for Gigi de Lana once they start their project together.
And Julia is currently busy. She is seen in the primetime series, “Di Na Muli,” on TV5. She is paired with two men in the show — Marco Gumabao and Marco Gallo. It is directed by Andoy Ranay.
