ATASHA Muhlach, the daughter of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, is now a Viva Artist. She was presented to the press at Viva Cafe with the entire del Rosario clan in attendance: Boss Vic, Vincent, Veronique, Valerie and Verb del Rosario welcoming her warmly as a bonafide showbiz royalty.
Atasha is 21 years old and she’s graduating this month from her business course in London.
“After I did ‘The Sound of Music’ when I was 10 years old, I’ve known that what I really want to do is perform,” said Atasha. “But my parents want me to finish my studies first, so I focused on that muna since I always give my best to anything I do.”
The daughter of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalesm received a welcome fit for a showbiz royalty.

So what does she want to do exactly?
“I’d like to act, sing, dance and do hosting. I want to try everything. I’m open to try all sorts of movie genres, but my first project for Viva will be record a single. It’ll be a happy song in Tagalog. “
Is being a Muhlach an advantage for her?
“Yes, both of my parents have been in showbiz for long, so they can guide me well. They are no stage parents. They’re both just very supportive as they know this is what I really want to do. They just tell me to always be kind, respectful and be myself.”
Her mom Charlene is a beauty queen. Would she also consider joining a beauty pageant?
“I’m not closing my doors on it. If the opportunity is there, why not? But I’m taking it one step at a time. Right now, I just want to focus on showbiz first.”
Will her brother Andres also join showbiz, like her? “I wouldn’t want to answer for him. It is all up to him, but it would be nice if could work together in the future, also with our parents.”

Ryza Cenon and Rhen Escaño have worked together before in the horror film, “Rooftop,” where an avenging ghost kills them both. They now get to work together again in “Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko” and they’re glad that this time, it’s a romantic drama about love and marriage.
“It’s also about friendship,” says Ryza. “Friends kami rito nina Rhen and Coleen Garcia at iba-iba ang aming kanya-kanyang kuwento ng pag-ibig, as based on the best-selling book by Marcelo Santos.”
So what is her role? “I play Sandy, the only one who’s married sa barkada namin. But my husband is an incorrigible womanizer. So ang dilemma ko, until when are you willing to forgive your erring husband?”
How about Rhen, what is her role in the series? “Ako naman si Georgina, a fashion designer,” she replies. “Boyfriend ko si Jerome Ponce as Mark. He got an offer to work in Canada for one year. Siempre, ako naman, very encouraging. I urged him to go, it’s for your growth in your career. Hindi namin alam, magiging test pala sa relationship namin as an LDR is so hard to maintain.”

Azi Acosta and Benz Sangalang have been paired before in “Sex Games” where they play a religious young couple who were forced to do sexual acts to earn money to help solve their financial woes. They’re now together again in director Daniel Palacio’s “Hugot,” which is about barangay basketball leagues in the provinces and is now streaming on Vivamax. So what are their roles in the movie?
“I play Cocoy,” replied Benz. “Kilala sa town namin as a good basketball player, pero ang father ko, played by Julio Diaz, walang bilib sa akin. Napilitan akong gumawa ng masama involving drugs and gambling when my dad gets sick. This is also the sexiest film I’ve done. I had loves scenes Azi Acosta, Stephanie Raz and Apple Castro. Kunsaan-saan kami nagtalik, pati sa basketball court.”
“I play the muse of Benz’ team na naging girlfriend niya,” said Azi.
How does she feel now that she’s the new “Vivamax Queen” with the huge success of her movies “Pamasahe” and “Suki”? “Hala, totoo ba?” she laughed. “Ang akala ko kasi, runner up lang ako. Sa tingin ko, lahat kami sa Vivamax, queens kami. Wala naman kaming competition and I just hope na magtuloy-tuloy lang ang success ng lahat ng movies sa Vivamax.”
And what can she say to those who bash sexy stars? “Ok lang, opinyon nila ‘yun, pero sana huwag nilang basta hindi i-judge ang buong pagkatao ko. Childhood dream ko talaga ang mag-artista and sana, temporary lang ito, stepping stone at mabigyan din ng chance na gumawa ng mainstream movie.”
