Actor, director and producer Coco Martin clearly has a hit in his new series, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
Not only is it a top rater, but it has earned 44 million total digital views on its pilot week, proof that “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which premiered last February 13, was much-anticipated by viewers.
Coco promises that the first few action-packed episodes are only a glimpse of what’s to come as viewers brace for even more exciting encounters in the series with the arrival of Supremo (Lito Lapid), an ex-convict, and Greg, RK Bagatsing’s new character. Greg will cause more problems to Ramon (Christopher de Leon), a fugitive who escaped from prison with the help of Don Julio (Tommy Abuel), his father who runs one of the biggest criminal syndicates in the country.
The series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” is inspired by the original story of Regal Films. It airs weeknights at 8 on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Speaking of Coco, one thing that sets him apart from other celebrities is his kind heart. The uber successful actor, producer and director is well known for being always ready to extend a helping hand.
Companies are also finding out that it is vital to give back to its customers. MR.D.I.Y. is gearing up for a wider corporate service responsibility (CSR) program this year.
For 2023, Mr. D.I.Y. joins hands with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation and Alagang Kapatid Foundation for its A-OK Program as it renews its ties with last year’s partners – World Vision, SOS Children’s Villages, and GOM Football Center for Excellence.
MR.D.I.Y., the nation’s favorite family and home improvement one-stop shop retailer, affirmed its commitment to serve and spread goodwill through its A-OK (Acts of Kindness) campaign during a media luncheon at Myons Cuisine, Quezon City, last February 21.
A-OK is the overarching corporate social responsibility program where the retailer enables and empowers communities. The program has its roots in the Good Bag Campaign, where proceeds from the purchase of MR.D.I.Y. eco-bags nationwide are eventually donated to its NGO partners.
The success of the Good Bag Campaign in 2021 inspired the company to level up its CSR program into the A-OK campaign, which focuses on four key pillars: family welfare, preservation and protection of the environment, youth and education, and disaster preparedness.
MR.D.I.Y. ‘s chief executive officer Roselle Marisol Andaya further explained why the company has these CSR initiatives.
“MR.D.I.Y. entered the country in 2018, with our first store opening in Balagtas, Bulacan.
That same year, we opened five other stores, one in Ayala, two in Waltermart malls, Sta. Lucia and Fishermall Quezon City. Our market has received us well, owing to our variety of more than 18,000 products under 10 different categories. We celebrated our 100th store milestone last 2020,” she said.
“And just last November of 2022, we celebrated our 300th store milestone at SM City Sucat. We are now 339 stores strong — with our latest opening today in Culiat Town Center in Quezon City. From six stores in 2018 to 339 today.
“But we go the extra mile to ensure that our approach is holistic focusing on the communities we serve. Under this A-OK program, we will strive to create more meaningful initiatives and partnerships with both the public and the private sectors—partnerships and initiatives that are reflective of our program’s four pillars: family welfare, preservation and protection of the environment, youth and education, and disaster preparedness.
“We look forward to working with our incredible partners to bring our visions to life. We’re confident that these renewed engagements will enable us to better listen to and focus on our communities – to take care of them through effective programs,” Andaya concluded.

“The Voice Kids” returns with new hosts Bianca Gonzales and Robi Domingo and Bamboo, KZ Tandingan and Martin Nievera as the mentors.
The new season starts this weekend, February 25 and 26.
Bamboo is excited for the fresh chapter of “The Voice Kids” as he shares the honor of sitting on the iconic red seat beside new coaches KZ and Martin.
“I do miss them [former coaches] a lot. Those were my guys as well. But I do look forward to this season. It is a new day,” he explained in an interview with “TV Patrol.”
KZ and Martin are also ready for the challenge of mentoring young singers who will someday carry on the OPM brand.
“I have very big shoes to fill. Medyo mabigat ‘yung responsibility,” KZ admitted.
As a talent search program, “The Voice Kids” will be eliminating contestants in each phase of the competition, which is a heavy task for the coaches.
“Everyone knows how soft my heart is so I am really preparing myself. I might bring an extra heart,” Martin shared.
Meanwhile, Bianca Gonzalez and Robi Domingo will serve as hosts and “The Voice Kids” season 2 champion Elha Nympha and “The Voice Teens” finalist Jeremy G will take over online hosting duties.
