Janella Salvador was ready to play any kind of role when she decided to resume her showbiz career after giving birth to Jude, her one-year-old son with partner Markus Paterson.
But was she surprised when no less than award-winning director Chito Roño offered her the role of Valentina, the main villain in the highly anticipated “Darna” TV series, which Jane de Leon will topbill.
Motherhood, no doubt, added not just an amazing glow but also a fierceness to her look.
“Iba kasi talaga ang kakaibang saya na bigay sa iyo ng pagiging isang ina,” she said.
“Although kasabay nito ang pagdagdag ng aking timbang na unang hiniling sa akin ni Direk Chito, when we talked about the role, na bawasan.”
What does she feel about the venomous snakes that Valentina has as her mane? We heard the production will use real snakes.
“Sabi ni Direk Chito, siya na ang bahala doon,” replied Janella, “And of course, the production staff.
“As Jane told me, when we talked about it, huwag na muna naming problemahin ang hindi pa problema.
“Kung sabagay…,” Janella added.
“Darna: The Series” is scheduled to air in the early part of 2022.

His destination is San Francisco, California.
Asked who will he spend Christmas with, the actor teased: “Secret.
“Mga friends lang,” he added.
He is not courting anyone right now, he said.
“Sa totoo lang, I have not yet found her,” Alden opened up. “If I do, I’ll not let her go.”
Alden is back in his much-admired TV series, “The World Between Us.”

It’s a non-issue for Ruffa Gutierrez if she is being rumored to be the girlfriend of senatorial aspirant and former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.
She has never denied that she and Herbert are close, but she has not admitted to any romance between them.
Ruffa has long been divorced from her Turkish husband, Yilmaz Bektas, with whom she has two daughters, Lorin and Venice.
Ruffa, at 47, is still very beautiful and attractive. She remains in demand for TV and movie roles.
Asked why she and her mom, Annabelle Rama, are close to former Mayor Herbert, her reply was: “Mabait kasi siya.”

He has four kids, all grown up.
He has been acting since he was a kid. He started his career in the gag show, “Kaluskos Musmos.”
Both of his parents, Heminio “Butch” Bautista and the former Rosario Maclang, are from showbiz. His dad became a councilor of Quezon City.
When he ran for Quezon City mayor in 2012, Herbert won by a landslide. He won two more times.
He filed his Certificate of Candidacy for senator in October.
