Sue Ramirez is very open about actor Zanjoe Marudo being her celebrity crush since she was 13 years old.

Sue is now 25, while Zanjoe is turning 40 in July.

It does not matter that he is older, Sue said. What matters is that, the two of them are working anew in the new ABS-CBN series, “Broken Marriage Vow.”

“Broken Marriage Vow” is an adaptation of a British series.

“Very Filipino ang dating,” Sue said.

Direction is by Connie Macatuno and Andoy Ranay.

And how is Zanjoe as an actor?

“Much, much better,” Sue again replied. “I wouldn’t mind being paired with him again.”

Enrique Gil shows how a truly understanding boyfriend he is. The actor is in the US to accompany girlfriend Liza Soberano who is visiting her ailing grandma.

Liza is very close to her grandmother and she did not hesitate to fly to the US to take care of her when she learned that her lola was sick.

“Nagkataong birthday ni Liza nung January 4,” said someone related to Liza. “How nice of Enrique to organize a small party for her, with several of her cousins in attendance. Sobra sa galak ang lola ni Liza, sabi pa daw, malapit na siyang gumaling.”

While abroad, Enrique and Liza have heard from friends in the Philippines and know how difficult some of their situations are.

“We tell them na ganun din sa ibang bansa,” the two said.

Dennis Padilla feels good this New Year.

First, he and daughter Julia Barreto have reconciled. Although they were not together during the holidays, they had the chance to talk to each other over the phone.

They are now in a good place, said the comedian. “Too bad lang that we are busy. Julia has her career and business, ako I am promoting my new movie ‘Sanggano, Sanggago’t Sanggwapo 2.’”

The movie reunites Dennis with good friends Janno Gibbs and Andrew E.

“It’s a comedy,” he said, “At nakakatuwa. I invited Julia to watch the movie with me.”

Julia, of course, is the eldest of her three children with Marjorie Barretto. He also has children with former wife Monina Gatus and his current partner, Linda Gorton.

‘I still thank God that He allowed for Drew and I to get thru this first so that we could already be on the road to recovery to care for the little ones we love when it’s their turn — Iya Villania’

Iya Villania, who is currently in her fourth month of pregnancy, was truly affected when she learned she was COVID-19 positive.

The actress-host is carrying her fourth baby with husband Drew Arellano.

She and Drew are in isolation from their kids, who are all understandably distressed that they cannot be with their parents. Iya is especially concerned with the youngest, Alana, who do not understand why she cannot be with her mom.

IYA VILLANIA

“Ang hirap,” Iya admitted.

But then, days after Iya and Drew got infected, other members of their household also tested positive.

“I knew chances were slim but after almost a week, our little kuya (as well as our ate that takes care of Alana) has joined me on the dark side,” wrote Iya on Instagram. “Leon woke up with a fever and also (vomiting emoji) this morning….”

The couple are, of course, very concerned about their whole household, including their two kids who aren’t sick, Primo and Alana, as well as their helpers.

“Still hoping for the best for Alana, Primo and our 2 other ates who are keeping the home from falling apart while I’m isolated,” said Iya.

She has still chosen to look at the bright side, in spite of having COVID-19.

“If anything, given the situation, I still thank God that He allowed for Drew and I to get thru this first so that we could already be on the road to recovery to care for the little ones we love when it’s their turn…

“On the bright side, we might not have the vaccine for the kids yet but at least they’ll now develop the antibodies.

“Lord, pls don’t let it be harsh on the kids,” she prayed.
