DERRICK Monasterio is finally given his own solo starring role in GMA-7’s new afternoon drama, “Return to Paradise,” after years of doing supporting parts in various teleseryes. Well, it’s about time!
Derrick is one of the best-looking leading men in GMA. He has not only good looks but height (he’s 6 feet tall), a hunky physique he really worked hard for, and he can both sing and act well. Derrick was discovered in 2010 when he was only 15 years old. We’re glad he finally gets his own show now. He has also completed a new sexy flick for Regal Films directed by Joey Reyes, “Cheat Day,” where he is paired with new sexy hottie Alexa Miro.
So we hope his new projects on film and TV will truly help boost his career.
In “Return to Paradise,” he is paired with Elle Villanueva, a commercial model who’s given her biggest break here. He plays Red Ramos and Elle plays Eden Sta. Maria. They get marooned in a deserted island after a plane accident. How is it working with a newcomer like Elle?

Christine Bermas has starred in many sexy dramas before like “Moonlight Butterfly,” “Sisid,” “Island of Desire,” but she is at her wildest in “Scorpio Nights 3,” a remake of the 1985 Peque Gallaga Experimental Cinema classic.
The original movie starred Anna Marie Gutierrez as the wife of the late Orestes Ojeda who has an affair with their peeping Tom neighbor, Daniel Fernando. “Scorpio Night 3” retains the basic core of the story with Christine as the unfaithful wife, Mark Anthony Fernandez as her common-law husband, and Gold Aceron in his biggest break as the young lover.
Did she get to watch the past version?
“Yes, but our film is updated to modernize it for today’s audiences. ‘Yung character ko dito ngayon is a cam girl at sinisilipan ako ng neighbor naming engineering student, si Gold Aceron nga. Mas seductive ang character ko dito dahil inaakit ko talaga si Gold at may scene na bino-BJ ko siya habang nakalawit ‘yung kanya sa butas ng sahig.”
“Scorpio Nights 3” is now streaming on Vivamax. Director Lawrence Fajardo and screenwriter Roy Iglesias have made lots of changes from Gallaga’s original film as they have graphic scenes of both male and female frontal nudity that will surely scandalize the guardians of our morality.

Miguel Tanfelix is so happy for Ysabel Ortega’s starring role in their new drama series, “What We Could Be,” which would be aired on August 15, ahead of “Voltes V” legacy that has been taping since last year. The role of the young nurse, Cynthia, is very challenging and it will surely help boost Isabel’s acting career.
“Voltes V Legacy” will be aired in 2023 yet. GMA and Quantum Films now pair Miguel and Ysabel in “What We Could Be,” a feel-good romantic drama and Miguel says he is inspired to do this project with Ysabel.
“One of the rules I follow is that I should be inspired when I work on something,” he says.
“And thankfully, isa si Ysabel sa nagbibigay ng inspiration sa akin.”
Does that mean they’re now playing beautifully music together? “All of us can be inspired. Hindi naman kailangang maging magjowa kayo or meron kayong something to be inspired. Basta I will always be here to support her anytime.”
We’ve seen the music videos and pilot week episodes of “What We Could Be” in its press preview and it’s easy to see that Miguel and Ysabel have very good chemistry with each other, as directed by the award-winning Jeffrey Jeturian.
