A registered nurse, Rocco Nacino is comfortable in his role as a medical doctor in GMA’s top series, “Owe My Love.”
Benjamin Alves and Ryan Eigenmann, who play doctors, too, are in Rocco’s staff.
The soap’s leading lady is Lovi Poe, who is Rocco’s former high school classmate.
“May kuwento why Rocco was unable to practice his profession, even if he graduated cum laude and passed the board,” said someone close to Rocco. “He joined the fifth season of ‘Starstruck’ and won.
“Henceforth, ang pagiging artista na ang inasikaso niya. It looks like a good decision naman, as he has been working non-stop. ‘Di pa man natatapos ang ‘Owe My Love,’ may next assignment na siya, as he will be part of a new GMA series with Carla Abellana and Max Collins.
“The role was previously assigned to Derek Ramsay.”
Rocco, 34, is married to Melissa Gohing. They tied the knot in January 2021.

Another actor who is also a nurse is Pancho Magno, the son of Redgie Magno, the just promoted first vice president for Business Development Department of GMA.
Pancho assisted in his wife Max Collins’ delivery of their baby last year.
Pancho is in “First Yaya,” where he will get involved in a love triangle with Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez.
Pancho is part of the presidential staff of Gabby, while Sanya is the yaya of the kids of Gabby.
What Pancho doesn’t know is that Gabby, as President Glen, has also developed feelings for Yaya Melody.
“Like Gabby, I also have some sweet moments with Sanya,” related Pancho. “Mga moments na kapag pinanonood ko with Max at my side, kinikilig ako.
“I’m single in the series,” he added.
“First Yaya” is currently the number one series of GMA.

Jake Ejercito has no idea yet how his father, former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, would react when he learns that Jake has signed up with ABS-CBN and will start work on his first project, “Marry Me, Marry You.”
President Erap is still recovering from pneumonia brought about by Covid-19.
Jake is one of the President Erap’s three children with former actress Laarni Enriquez. His siblings are Jerika, now expecting another child with husband Miguel Aguilar, and Jacob.
Jake said he doubts his dad will be surprised that he became an actor. But maybe President Erap will somehow regret that he chose not to practice his profession.
Jake finished his masters in marketing from Nothumbria University in Singapore. He graduated with honors. From Queen Mary University in London, he holds a degree in politics.
Will Jake enter politics, too, like his two half-brothers, former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and JV Ejercito?
Though he said he did not like how politics is in the country, he also did not want to say no because he might end up eating his words.
“I don’t want to close any doors,” he said.
His daughter Ellie is now 9 years old.
“Soon, she will be a teenager,” Jake said. “Ayokong ma-miss her growing up years.”
Is Ellie the reason he is currently single?
Jake merely beamed in answer.
Soon, Jake will be seen pitting talents against Paulo Avelino, Janine Gutierrez, Cherry Pie Picache, Vina Morales and Sunshine Dizon, who just transferred to ABS-CBN.
Sunshine did not give any specific reason why she left GMA, where she worked for more than two decades.

Sealed, too, are the lips of Coco Martin regarding his rumored plan to run for a government post in the coming elections.
The actor reportedly told Senator Lito Lapid, who is convincing him to follow in his footsteps, he would give it a lot of thought.
As it is, Coco said he believes he has not accomplished his mission as an action star.
“At alam din siguro ni Coco na kapag kumandidato siya, tiyak may mga mawawalan ng trabaho dahil kailangang mag-end na rin ang ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano’,” a kibitzer said.
