The couple will return to the small screen in a sitcom on GMA.

Remember the date: May 14.
It’s the premiere of the pilot episode of the sitcom of Dingdong Dantes and wife Marian Rivera, titled “Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa.”
It’s been more than 10 years since the couple last worked together in a project.
“Well, this decision of ours to do a sitcom ay pinag-isipan naming talaga,” said Marian.
“Let’s have naman a panoorin na masaya, lalo nga at problema ang dala ng pandemic, tapos malungkot pa ang mga panoorin na ating pinanonood.”
The sitcom reportedly will take over the timeslot of “Agimat ng Agila, topbilled by Senator Bong Revilla.”

Senator Bong will be very busy helping members of his family who are running for public office. Two of his sons, Bryan Revilla and Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, and his wife, Mayor Lani Mercado, are running. Vice Gov Jolo and Mayor Lani are running as representatives in separate districts in Cavite, while Bryan is running as Agimat -list representative.
Bryan was at first reluctant to turn politician, but has now decided to follow in his parents’ footsteps.
“I am keeping my fingers crossed that they all win,” said Senator Bong.

How nice that the agreement between GMA and ABS-CBN to air Star Cinema films on the Kapuso channel has been getting very positive reaction.
The first film scheduled for release on April 19 is the John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo starrer, “It Takes A Man and A Woman.” This will be followed by the top-grossing film,
“Hello, Love Goodbye,” the first and only team-up of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards. Next will be the “Unmarried Wife,” starring Dingdong Dantes and Angelica Panganiban.
Former Kapamilya turned Kapuso host Kim Atienza said: “Awesome is the word for this wonderful happening.”
It is.
Award-winning director Olive Lamasan is now the managing director of ABS-CBN Films/Star Cinema. She replaced Malou Santos, who has retired.

Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who is running for a seat in the senate, is glad he has the full support of his wife, the former Precy Vitug, and their kids, he said.
Julian, who is also an actor, often accompanies him in sorties.
“This early, I have no idea yet kung magpu-pulitika din si Julian,” said Senator Jinggoy.
“Although, in time, his Lolo Erap may be able to encourage him.
“Basta, kung ano ang desisyon ng mga anak ko, I’ll support them.”

Since he grew up seeing his dad, former President Erap Estrada, very much active in the political scene, it was inevitable that Senator Jinggoy will also enter public service.
His brother, JV Ejercito, is also a senatorial candidate.
Jinggoy and JV have different mothers. Senator Jinggoy’s mom is former Senator Loi Estrada and JV’s mom is former San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez.
In the last election, where President Duterte won, both Jinggoy and JV ran for the senate.
They both lost.
Senator Jinggoy is hoping that the outcome will be different this time. He remains committed to help make laws that will benefit Filipinos.
