‘“I continue to grow, evolve,” said the award-winning actress.’

Sixty years in showbiz and much awarded actress Vilma Santos continues to evolve.
Aside from enjoying being a new grandmother to Rosie, the daughter of her son Luis Manzano and his wife Jessy, Ate Vi is having fun being a vlogger.
During her launch as the brand ambassador of Angkas motorcycle taxi service last Monday, Ate Vi revealed that it was while Luis and Jessy were living with her and Ralph in their home that her kids taught her the art of vlogging.
Luis and Jessy have their own respective YouTube channels.
“I continue to grow, evolve,” said the award-winning actress.
She uploaded her first vlog in September 26, 2021. She has talked about her trophies, has cooked her specialtIes (tuyo pasta and guinomis), had a mukbang with vlogger Small Laude, and appeared with her husband Cong. Ralph Recto, and her sons, Luis and Ryan Christian.
Next, she will be seen in collaborating in her vlog with megastar Sharon Cuneta and former screen partner Bobot Mortiz.
How about with superstar Nora Aunor?
“Why not? Meron din sya,” said Ate Vi.
How about a vlog where she rides on an Angkas motorcycle? suggested a member of the press.
“That’s a good idea. Thank you,” said Ate Vi.
She also shared that she has three projects lined up, the first a movie with perennial partner Christopher de Leon.
“We’re leaving for Japan in March,” she said. “I’m excited also to do a movie with Erik Matti, tapos na ang script. We will finalize on March 14. Looking forward din ako ng isang movie with Star Cinema.”

Ate Vi said she joined Angkas’ latest campaign because she found that she and the motorcycle hailing app had the same advocacies.
“I’m excited because nagkaroon ako ng pisang project na may partnership sa Angkas,” she said at the press con at the Society Lounge in Makati last Monday.
“Why Angkas? Initially, tinanggap ko ang partnership na ito marami akong tinanong. Unang una, motorsiklo ito, gaano ka-safe ito? How sure are we na safe ito? With the present situation ng traffic natin, yung lanes. Pero in-assure ako na hindi makakapasok ang riders pag ‘di nakapasa. So the safety net, in-assure ako ng aking partner na 99.7% safe… And then, isang tinanong ko dito ano ba ang future ng Angkas? I learned eto pa lang Angkas ‘yung mga riders natin magkaroon ng trabaho. The record I got was over 30,000 riders na ang nabibigyan ng pagkakataon.
“Naging partners ang Anglas at eko because we share the same dream and hopes in giving jobs and alleviating poverty.
“Nung congresswoman ako, ako ay naging parte ng committee sa labor and employment, at the same time, poverty alleviation. So pumupunta ang priorities ko, focus ko, sa advokasiya ng Angkas. So nung in-offer sa akin na making partner ang Angkas, tinanggap ko. Parang pareho kami ng gustong mangyari sa Filipino people.”
