‘Parang anak na nga siya ng daddy ko. So kilala na namin talaga ang isa’t isa and I’m confident na hindi siya magluluko – Winwyn Marquez’

WINWYN Marquez is glad to be part of GMA Pictures “The Cheating Game”. She plays the role of Vanessa, a strong woman who gets entangled with Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose.
“I’m happy to work with both Rayver and Julie Anne as I’ve worked with both of them before so we’re relaxed with each other. May rapport kami agad.”
How is baby Luna?
“She’s okay, a happy baby. She turned one year old last April 30. Sobrang nakakatuwa na.
Ang daddy ko nga (Joey Marquez), naloloko sa kanya.
Gusto lagi siyang nakikita.”
So how is it being a mom?
“Being a mother is a full time job. Walang day off. It’s hard, but very rewarding as you see your baby grow and become more responsive. But I’m so lucky my partner who provides and is always there.”
Since “The Cheating Game” is about cheating, can she sense if someone, like her partner, is cheating on her? “In our case, my partner kilala ko na since Grade 1 pa lang ako. So we grew up together, in and out siya sa bahay namin. Parang anak na nga siya ng daddy ko.
So kilala na namin talaga ang isa’t isa and I’m confident na hindi siya magluluko.”

Kokoy de Santos feels fortunate to be part of Viva’s horror movie that is now showing in cinemas nationwide, “Mary Cherry Chua,” the launching film of Ashley Diaz.
“Ashley is a very brave girl in the story,” says Kokoy. “She investigates what really happened to Mary Cherry Chua na nagmumulto sa school namin dahil ni-rape siya at pinatay sa loob mismo ng campus. Ako’ng best friend niyang si Paco, who helps her. But unlike her, matatakutin po ako rito. May pagka-duwakang yung character ko.”
Kokoy is really one of the busiest actors today in local showbiz. Aside from “Mary Cherry Chua,” he has finished another new movie for Viva, “Death by Desire,” directed by Prime Cruz. It’s a sexy flick and he gets to co-star with Iana Bernardez, Elora Espano and Denise Esteban. He started as a child actor and his big break came when he did “Gameboys,” a boys’ love (BL) series that he did with Elijah Canlas. It was a big hit on line and even had a film version, “Gameboys The Movie.”
Because of his exposure in “Gameboys,” GMA got him and he has since been doing various projects for them.
He is now being linked to another Kapuso talent, Angel Guardian. So what is the real score between them?
“We are very good friends,” he says. “Naging close kami lalo when were doing ‘Running Man’ on location in Korea then we were paired in ‘Pepito Manaloto.’ Kapag walang work, kung minsan, lumalabas kami, with Buboy Villar na friend din namin. But right now, we’re both very busy, so sa career muna ang focus namin.”

Gold Aceron and Aerol Carmelo are the leading men of Ataska and Angelica Hart in the Vivamax action-drama, “Bisyo!,” directed by Daniel Palacio. They play best friends James and Zach. Gold as James works as the trusted errand boy of their town’s vice mayor, Mark Anthony Fernandez, who happens to be the father of Aerol as Zach and is actually a crime lord.
“Maganda po ‘yung story tungkol sa dalawang magkaibigan na later on, naging mortal na magkaaway,” says Gold. “Si Ataska po ang kapareha ko rito as my loving and loyal girlfriend, si Liza, na maiipit sa away namin ni Aerol.”
Since the movie is about vices, do they really have a specific vice in real life? “Noong mas bata pa ako, sobrang na-addict ako sa sigarilyo,” says Gold. “I finish three packs a day. But I stopped nang sumasakit na ang tagiliran ko when I breathe. Malakas rin akong uminom.
Thank God na nahinto ko silang lahat and realized na hindi natin puedeng laging abusuhin ang katawan natin.”
“Just like Gold, yosi boy rin ako nung araw, pero sa alak, hindi masyado. Na-addict din ako sa paglalaro ng computer games na umabot sa point na I’m playing 24 hours. Walang tulog. But I realized na walang naitutulong na maganda ang mga bisyo. I regretted yung sinayang kong panahon at pera sa bisyo ko.”
Aerol is one of the busiest studs in the Vivamax stable today as he has also finished two other films, “Litsoneras” directed by Roman Perez and “Choosey Me” directed by Joey Reyes. “Bisyo!” starts streaming on July 21.
