‘It’s said LJ wants to migrate to New York where her mother lives but Paolo does not like the idea of leaving the country since he has a good career here.’
LJ REYES has been living with Paolo Contis since 2016 and she gave birth to their daughter, Summer, in January of 2019. She has another child Aki, her son with Paulo Avelino. Aki is 11 years old and in good terms with Paolo.

LJ has not been active in her acting career for a while. After she gave birth to Summer, she chose to take it easy. Her last teleserye was still “The Cure” in 2018. It’s only Paolo who’s working actively for their family.
Everyone thought she and Paolo are doing well since they always post photos of them looking like a very happy family. So folks are now surprised that Paolo, who has just returned home after his lock-in taping of “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” with Heart Evangelista, has suddenly deleted all her photos from his social media account.
Many have asked them if they are they still together. They didn’t respond but no less than Paolo’s manager, Lolit Solis, confirmed that they’re no longer together. Lolit did this because some folks are implicating Yen Santos, the leading lady of Paolo in the movie “Far Away Land,” and Lolit stressed there’s no third party involved in the breakup. Like LJ, this is Paolo’s second failed relationship after the collapse of his marriage to Lian Paz with whom he has two daughters.
It’s said LJ wants to migrate to New York where her mother lives but Paolo does not like the idea of leaving the country since he has a good career here. Meantime, LJ has now returned to work before the cameras and she was featured with Wendell Ramos in last Sunday’s featured episode on “Dear Uge.”

Cannes Film Festival best actress Jaclyn Jose is playing the role of a trusted mayordoma in two projects.
First as the all-knowing factotum of the billionaire Albert Martinez in the erotic thriller, “The Housemaid.” Then as the yaya and confidante of Dina Bonnevie who turns out to be the real mother of Dina’s alleged son, Tom Rodriguez, in GMA-7’s primetime drama series, “The World Between Us.”
In “The Housemaid,” it’s Jaclyn first time to work with former Miss International Kylie Versoza who’s being launched in the title role. So how is her experience with newcomer Kylie?
“I’ve always been supportive to newbies kasi naging baguhan din naman ako,” she said.
“This is Kylie’s biggest break and good luck sa kanya kasi magaling naman siyang artista.
Parang hindi baguhan. Good luck din sa movie at sa Vivamax.”
Did she get to watch the original Korean film on which “The Housemaid” is based?
“No, I didn’t bother to see the original movie kasi baka magaya ko lang ang character ko doon. But sa ambiance pa lang, sa galaw ng kamera, I can feel na kakaiba siya. Abangan nyo sa Vivamax streaming on September 10.”
As for “The World Between Us,” it will take a season break after this Friday with Alden Richards as Louie going to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. So it will be a cliffhanger and viewers will have to wait until November 15 before they can find out what really happened to him. The show cannot tape new episodes because of the lockdown and new tapings are not allowed.
“Siempre naman, our safety comes first,” said Jaclyn. “But I’m sure the followers of ‘The World Between Us’ will be waiting for the show kasi mas lalong magiging kapana-panabik ang susunod na mga pangyayari.”

Lucy Torres said it was a very difficult when her husband Richard Gomez was infected by the coronavirus.
“The whole family is affected. The tendency is to panic but each Covid case is a very individual journey, so you have to just listen to your own doctor and stop reading about other cases as they are not your case. I’m just thankful it happened at the time of the Olympics kasi otherwise, Richard will not stay put, lalabas pa rin ‘yan. But the games distracted him so he rested and just watched. Otherwise I’d handcuff him to myself, para akong nanay niya. I reminded him to conserve his energy for faster healing.”
She is glad that in Ormoc, the cases are not as rampant as in Manila. “Our cases are relatively low. Last report I got is we got only 18 cases. We don’t have the bigger health care capacity of bigger cities, so from the start our thrust is prevention more than treatment. We’re very strict with our border controls to keep Ormoc safe. People from other municipalities cannot just enter our city. In terms of land area, Ormoc is actually as big as Manila, but with lesser people, only 200,000, and there are more open areas and we have easy access to the mountains and the sea.”
She is on her last term as Ormoc representative. Is it true she is running for the senate next year?
“I still don’t know. I’m still weighing my options. But Richard will be the one to run for a seat in congress as it’s my last term.”
It’s said she’s included in the slate of Ping Lacson for president and Tito Sotto for vice president.
“Well, I’m glad somebody wants to include me in their slate. I’m thankful as it’s a blessing, an added value. We should listen to anybody offering their services to the people as to what they exactly have in mind in terms of the services they’d give. And Sens. Ping and Tito always relate to the people what their plans are on how they aim to serve. But wala pa akong formal talks with them and I haven’t really decided yet.”
Will their daughter Juliana follow her and Richard in politics? “I cannot speak for her.
Richard and I never impose our own wishes on our daughter. Whatever she wants to do, it’s entirely up to her and we’re just here to support her. Right now, she’s still training for fencing so it’s up to her if she wants to go into
