‘Everyone on the set is happy to see her looking okay, projecting an aura that says life goes on for her, despite the recent break up with Derek Ramsay.’

ANDREA Torres has really moved on and has started doing lock in taping for GMA-7’s new cultural drama series, “Legal Wives.” We saw some footage of her rehearsing her scenes with Dennis Trillo and she looks so fresh and lovely, without any trace of heartbreak.

Everyone on the set is happy to see her looking okay, projecting an aura that says life goes on for her, despite the recent break up with Derek Ramsay. Andrea is glad to be back to work in a new drama series and she’s very much satisfied with her role in “Legal Wives.”

Andrea Torres

“I will play Diane,” she said. “Ako ‘yung magiging kasintahan ni Dennis, who plays Ishmael, and later on, magiging asawa rin niya. Ang first wife niya is Alice Dixson and third wife naman si Bianca Umali. So bale ako ‘yung second wife niya. Ang kaibhan ko from the other two wives is that Kristiyano ako at sina Alice as Amirah and Bianca as Farrah naman are both Maranaw Muslims, just like Dennis in the story. Iba-iba ang dahilan kung bakit napakasalan niya kaming tatlo at ‘yun ang matutuklasan nyo when you watch the show.

“It’s nice to be part of show like this that will aim to share the culture of our Muslim brothers and sisters with the viewing public.”

Supporting them in “Legal Wives” are senior stars Cherie Gil, Al Tantay, Irma Adlawan and Juan Rodrigo, plus Maricar de Mesa, Bernard Palanca, Kevin Santos and “Starstruck” discoveries Shayne Sava and Abdul Rahman in their first major teleserye. It is under the direction of Zig Dulay.

Noranians who’ve missed their idol are exulting as she’s now back in her afternoon drama, “Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit,” and in a new movie, “Isa Pang Bahaghari.”

“Hindi nyo dapat palampasin ang pagbabalik ng ‘Bilangin ang Bituin’ sa ere dahil halos bawat episode ngayon, may pasabog kaming eksena,” said Ate Guy. “Lahat kami ng buong cast, inspired sa pagharap naming muli sa kamera after matagal kaming mabakante dahil sa pandemya.”

Her co-stars in “Bilangin ang Bituin” are Mylene Dizon, Kyline Alcantara, Zoren Legaspi, Ina Feleo, Gabby Eigenmann, Isabel Rivas, Yasser Marta, Candy Pangilinan and Divina Valencia as the kind lady who helps her recover from the setbacks in her life in the story.

“Isa Pang Bahaghari” is an official entry in the coming Metro Manila Film Festival. It’s just too bad that because of the pandemic, it won’t be shown in theaters but only via streaming in Upstream. We’ve seen its press preview and Ate Guy delivers another crackerjack performance in her role as the poor and sick wife abandoned by Phillip Salvador, an OFW, who turns out to have been stranded in some Latin American country.

Ate Guy raises their three kids all by herself: Zanjoe Marudo, Joseph Marco and Sanya Lopez.

After so many years, Phillip returns and tries his best to obtain the forgiveness of Ate Guy and their kids. There are many emotion-filled dramatic confrontation scenes you should watch out for. As their director, Joel Lamangan, said: “Si Nora, hindi nagbabago. Habang tumatagal, parang wine, lalong gumagaling, lalong sumasarap.”

We are sure that would be music to the ears of diehard Noranians.

Noranians can now also watch her in her own YouTube channel, called Nora Aunor Official.

You can see her old photos with various stars she got to work with through the years and also listen to her classic recordings of her well-loved songs, like “The Music Played” and “The Song of My Life.”

Kapuso young stars Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda are given the biggest break in their careers playing the lead roles in GMA News TV’s new show, “The Lost Recipe.” They have already completed their lock in taping for the fantasy-romance series where they play young culinary experts, supported by real chef Anton Amoncio.

The big cast of mostly young actors includes Thea Tolentino, Paul Salas, Phytos Ramirez, Faye Lorenzo and “Starstruck” discovery Crystal Paras, plus Chef Jose Sarasola and Gabby Eigenmann. All of them underwent culinary training before taping started.

“We’re happy and grateful to be chosen to play the leads in this unique TV series that also aims to feature the various important places in the city of Manila,” said Mikee, who was last seen in “The Gift” with Alden Richards. “There are many scenes showing various attractions and filmed in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila or DTCAM, the Intramuros Administration and Manila City Personnel, like Jones Bridge, the Walled City, Gota de Leche, Kartilya ng Katipunan and other places of interest.”

Kelvin is best known for the Netflix movie “Dead Kids.” “The Lost Recipe” is his first lead role and some detractors say he has no “K” (karapatan) yet to be launched to stardom.

What can he say about this?

“That’s their opinion po and I will respect that,” he said. “But I will not be discouraged by it and I’ll just consider it as a challenge para lalo kong pagbutihin ang trabaho ko sa araw-araw, bawat oras, bawat minuto. Hindi ko na lang masyadong pinapansin ang negative comments kasi maaapektuhan lang ako. I will just do my best and I will forever be thankful to GMA for giving me this chance to show my talent.”

Bea Alonzo has been so much in the news lately. She has decided not to continue taping the soap, “Kahit Minsan Lang,” that she has started doing with Richard Gutierrez for ABS-CBN last year at Gen. Santos City, due to the pandemic restrictions.

She then left Star Magic where she’s been under contract for 19 years and is now managed by Shirley Kuan. She’s also reported to have met with perennial ka-love team John Lloyd Cruz for a possible future project.

And after Gerald Anderson, she’s rumored to have found new romance in Dominic Roque as their pictures together have been posted online several times. But they have yet to admit their relationship officially and Dominic remains to be “the boyfriend sa dilim.”

Now, Bea is officially announced as the new endorser of Beautéderm Corporation as its president and CEO, Rhea Anicoche-Tan, marks her natal day. Welcoming Bea Alonzo to its growing family as the official endorser of Etre Clair Refreshing Mouth Spray is another milestone for Beautederm.

It’s always been one of Rhea’s ultimate dreams, since she started the company 11 years ago, to get Bea as part of the illustrious roster of Beautéderm Brand Ambassadors. The young CEO is ecstatic beyond imagination now that her dream to have one of the most accomplished young actresses in the industry has become a reality.

“I’ve always admired Bea and her body of work,” said Rhea. “Kaya pangarap ko talagang makuha siyang endorser of Beautéderm. It’s such a joy to deal with Bea and her manager, Miss Shirley Kuan. Bea is so professional and so humble — everything that I imagined her to be. This is truly a wonderful birthday gift to me.”
