‘Marriage and love should be stronger than infidelity. You should be ready to give a second chance. — Max Collins’
MAX Collins is back on primetime in “To Have and To Hold,” where she plays Dominique, the wife of Rocco Nacino as Gavin. “Dominique is very challenging to play, lovable in some ways, but you also won’t like her in some ways. Ang maganda sa ‘To Love and To Hold,’ walang bida or kontrabida among us. The viewers will see both the good side and bad side of marriage and I hope people will be able to relate to our stories and characters.”
“To Have and to Hold” is the first series she did now that she is a mother. “This is the first project that I truly worked so hard on, as I really wanna prove myself, lalo na nga nanay na ako ngayon and I want my child to be proud of my work.”
But she found doing lock-in taping for the show quite difficult.
“Sacrifice nga ito kasi nalayo ako sa family ko. I really missed my baby. Pine-face time ko lang siya. But being married has helped me a lot to connect with this role emotionally. I felt I have a lot more things from my jar na puede kong mahugot.”
Since she’s married now, what advice would she give to her co-star, Carla Abellana, who’s getting married next month?
“Number one is communication. Very important kasi once you stop talking to each other, mas lalaki ang problem. Number 2 is to appreciate more the little things you have and be thankful for the happy moments that you experience together. Number 3 is you have to make a conscious effort to make your partner happy. That’s very important in any relationship.”
Their show is about infidelity. Can she forgive a cheating partner? “Oh yes. I can forgive.
Marriage and love should be stronger than infidelity. You should be ready to give a second chance. But it all depends on your partner, if he wants to be forgiven.”
Earlier, there was a rumor that she and hubby Pancho Magno were having kinks in their marriage but she just shrugs this off. “Tahimik kasi kami sa social media, but I’m so grateful to have a husband who supports me and my career and who really understands me. We filter what we show to other people because we like to keep our lives private. Kami lang talaga ang nakakaalam how our lives are doing and how we are as parents to our son, Skye.”

Ex-beauty queen Cindy Miranda plays a challenging character in the heist-thriller film of Roman Perez Jr., “House Tour.” The movie is a cautionary tale for celebrities who are fond of showing off their plush homes in their vlogs without knowing it might attract robbers.
“Dito sa ‘House Tour,’ I play Ely, na jologs na jologs,” says Cindy. “Ang group namin nina Mark Anthony Fernandez, Diego Loyzaga and Marco Gomez, nakita namin sa vlog ng mag-asawang Sunshine Guimary and Rafa Siguion Reyna kung gaano kaganda ang mansion nila. Then they even announced na they’ll be out of town for one week. So naisip naming pasukin ‘yung mansion nila at pagnakawan sila. Parang akyat bahay. But something else happens while we are there.
“Sa gang namin, may sexual tension kasi, although girl ako ni Mark Anthony, ‘yung ibang kasama namin, may pagnanasa rin sa akin. So this is not just a heist film. Maraming twists na mangyayari sa movie, pati sa characters. From the start ng film, mag-iiba ang tema ng movie up to the ending.”
It looks like she and Sunshine Guimary are being pitted against each other. How does she feel about it?
“It cannot be helped kasi sa poster pa lang, may rivalry na sa amin. But when you watch the movie, you’d realize why may ganung factor. But I won’t compete with Sunshine, talagang napaka-sexy niya. The film actually shows that women are strong and they can use their sexiness to manipulate the men around them.”
How would she describe her life during the pandemic? “For me, it was a period of self-discovery. Kasi I had more time for myself and my dogs. Naging plantita ako, natuto akong magluto. Tapos, mga simpleng bagay, puede akong pasayahin.”
But her career picked up because of Vivamax. “Yes, and thankful akong maraming nanonood kahit sa online platforms at naging sunod-sunod ang movies na ginagawa ko. Di ko akalain na marami pala akong magiging trabaho sa sitwasyon natin, so I’m very thankful.”
As a celebrity, would she also feature her own home in a house tour vlog? “Ay, sorry, hindi ako ma-social media. I’ve always been very private. Wala akong vlog. And I’m not comfortable to share my place kasi pinapangalagaan ko ang safety ko. It’s my decision not to share anything.”
