Kris vs Cristy

‘I do not have to attend every fight I’m invited to — Kris Aquino’

There is a new feud in showbiz involving Kris Aquino and Cristy Fermin. Cristy wrote in her column that there was an offer for her, Kris and Lolit Solis to do a show for Pure Gold. Since Mr. Fu is part of Cristy and Lolit’s hit “Take It Per Minute” online show, they had wanted Mr. Fu to also be a part of the new show. They all agreed about it in a meeting, but Kris later told Lolit she does not like Mr. Fu.

Kris Aquino

Mr. Fu accepted the rejection graciously, said Cristy, but he cried about it secretly in the restroom of her art gallery, Obra ni Nanay, where “Take It Per Minute” is aired live. Cristy added that Kris’ action is: “Power trip ‘yun. Para sa akin power trip ‘yun, kaya ayoko nang gawin ‘yung programa!”

Kris, in turn wrote to Dindo Balares, a mutual friend of theirs: “Dito ako papalag.

No hard feelings, I do not have to attend every fight I’m invited to. I cannot control what people will say about me or do to me, BUT I can control my reaction & subsequent actions.”

We hope Lolit Solis will act as the mediator between Kris and Cristy to put an end to their current tiff.

Angelica Panganiban celebrated her 34th birthday on November 4 in her own online show, “Ask Angelica,” and one of her guests was director Olivia Lamasan who asked what kind of film will she avoid doing.

“I don’t close my doors sa kahit anong role or project, but what I learned is that don’t allow na masira yung friendship mo dahil lang sa isang project. When I got to work with an ex of mine, nanghinayang ako sa friendship namin before starting the film, kasi nasira ‘yung friendship nang mapasukan ng ka-showbiz-an.”

She’s obviously referring to Carlo Aquino, who is now a dad. When they did the movie “Exes Baggage” (a big hit), there was a rumor that they’re reconciling not only in the movie but also in real life.

This no doubt helped promote the movie, but the “pagbabalikan” never happened, and Angelica never hid her disappointment as she obviously hoped for the reconciliation that never came. Up to now, she won’t speak to him and says she doesn’t want to work with him again.

She was bashed for this, with people saying she’s bitter and cannot move on. Recently, she got bashed again when she made fun of our president who was missing at the height of Typhoon Rolly. She wrote: “Ano nang plano? Tulog-tulog na lang? Kilos-kilos naman alang-alang sa sinumpaan para sa bayan.”

Of course, she was quickly attacked by Duterte trolls, especially after Duterte surfaced and went to visit the devastated site in Bicol. Some of the remarks hurled against Angelica were really so bad that her best friend, Glaiza de Castro, said she’s somehow affected by all the nasty bashings.

“‘Yung iba kasi, sobra na, foul na, below the belt,” said Glaiza. “Hindi mo rin naman kasi maku-control kung anong sasabihin ng ibang tao kasi katwiran nila we have freedom of speech. So ang sabi ko sa kanya, tigil-tigilan na niya muna ang social media. Pahinga muna.”

Rhian Ramos is the only member of “Love of My Life” who has experienced lock in taping when she did the “Truly. Madly. Deadly” episode of “I Can See You”. They’re about to start their taping now for “Love of My Love” and Carla Abellana, Coney Reyes and Mikael Daez have yet to experience lock-in taping so they asked her for tips.

“What I’ve realized is maganda kung meron kang dalang sarili mong maliit na washing machine,” Rhian said. “Lalo ngayon, more than three weeks ‘yung lock in taping namin so kahit magdala ka ng enough clothes, you’d still need to wash some of your private things.”

Her performance as a lesbian admirer of Jennylyn Mercado in “I Can See You” got very positive feedback, specially the kissing scene they did. “I support the LGBTQ community and yes, nag-trending daw ang kissing scene namin ni Jen and it’s good hindi na-edit out ‘yun ng MTRCB. I think viewers will get to understand the plight ng gays kung realistic ang portrayal ng such scenes on screen. We already know naman na this is part of real life.’’

Ricky Davao is so busy these days with his participation on TV5 and Cignal Entertainment’s special Christmas presentation, “Paano ang Pasko,” created by Jun Lana that will start airing on November 23, Monday. He is one of the series’ three directors, along with Perci Intalan and Eric Quizon.

They’re now doing lock-in taping for six weeks in San Pablo City where they are using an old ancestral home as the story’s main setting. Ricky is not only a director but he’s also one of the main lead actors, playing the role of the family’s long-time driver who knows the secrets of all its members.

“Inabot kami ng bagyong Rolly sa set so tigil muna ang taping,” said Ricky. “Mahirap nga kasi laging umuulan ngayon. Kalaban namin ang weather.”
