Really hilarious

IT’s really hilarious how administration lawmakers are uncovering how the confidential funds of Vice President Sara Duterte were “spent.”

The latest, according to La Union Rep. Paolo Ortega V, shows that the Department of Education, while under the stewardship of the Vice President, used a set of funny names as the supposed recipients of confidential funds – names such as “Dodongs,” “Jay Kamote” and “Miggy Mango” which were found in the list of recipients after “Mary Grace Piattos,” one “Pia Piatos-Lim” and one “Renan Piatos.”

Makes one think that nobody in the department thought that these funny, and not even invented, names would not be uncovered and checked. Seriously?

‘Seriously, something is very wrong here. If public officials like the VP think
they can fool the people, they have
another thought coming.’

Ortega said that out of the 1,992 supposed recipients of the confidential funds of the OVP, 1,322 have no birth records; 1,456 have no marriage records; and 1,593 have no death records.

Another lawmaker, Manila Rep. Joel Chua, chair of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability and a member of the House prosecution panel, had earlier said that 405 out of the 677 names listed as beneficiaries of the DepEd’s confidential funds under Duterte have no birth records.

Chua said this was a clear indication that the names were fabricated.

Naturally, the VP was asked where these dubious names came from. To Nobody’s surprise, there was no explanation. She even blamed the House for the way it handled the “chain of evidence.”

Naturally, these dubious names were included in the tons of evidence that have been attached to the Articles of Impeachment against the VP pending before the Senate, which will convene as the impeachment court.

It would not be hard to imagine the ruckus this would create when these names are read before senators during the impeachment proceedings.

Seriously, something is very wrong here. If public officials like the VP think they can fool the people, they have another thought coming.

Impeachment? Yes! And charges before the court later on.
