‘The “Bawal Judgmental” segment of “Eat Bulaga” continues to attract more viewers because of its relevant topics’
SEN. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. encourages co-stars and friends in the industry, specially the older ones, not to visit his late father’s remains anymore in their home in Bacoor.
Former action star and Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr. passed last June 26 at the age of 93 after a lingering illness. Only a limited number of people can get in as they have to practice social distancing and other safety measures.
In his Facebook message, Sen. Bong said: “Masakit talaga ang nangyari. Pero kailangan nating maging matatag. Masakit mawalan ng ama. Ulila na kaming lubos dahil wala na rin ang aking mommy, pero bawat tao, may kanya-kanyang oras, may kanya-kanyang panahon. It’s just a matter of kung ano ang mga maiiwan mong legacy.
“Kaya sabi ko nga sa aking ama nung bago siya pumanaw, few minutes before, sabi ko, ‘Daddy, it’s time for you to go. Mission accomplished ka na, nagawa mo na ang lahat para sa amin, para sa aming mga magkakapatid, napagsilbihan mo rin ang bayan, nagawa mo rin lahat ang gusto mong gawin, kaya it’s time for you to go home, I’ll just see you in heaven.’”
His wife, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado, also wrote a touching message for the late senator.
“Paalam na, Daddy. Yakapin ka nang mahigpit ng Panginoon. Tapos na ang iyong pagod. I love you, Daddy. Hanggang sa muling pagkikita.”
Jolo Revilla, son of Sen. Bong and Mayor Lani who’s currently vice governor of Cavite, also paid tribute to his grandfather in his social media account: “Daddy Ramon, mabigat at masakit man sa amin ang iyong paglisan, panatag ang loob namin dahil nasa isang lugar ka na kunsaan hindi ka na mahihirapan. Sa araw-araw na pagbisita namin sa iyo, nakita ko kung paano sa kabila ng iyong naging karamdaman, kami pa rin ang inaalala mo.
“Nabigyan mo ng pantay-pantay na pagkakataon ang mga anak mo na makaharap ka.
Nakita ko rin kung paanong hanggang sa huli ay lumaban ka. Alam kong magiging masaya ka na ngayon sa pilin ni Mommy Cena (mother of Sen. Bong and siblings). Salamat sa lahat ng aral, lalo na ang halimbawa ng pagmamahal mo sa bayan. Sobra ang paghanga ko sa iyo dahil sa napakarami mong natulungan, inalagaan at inaruga.”

Katrina Halili is happy to be reunited with her co-stars in the hit afternoon soap, “Prima Donnas,” because they have not taped any episode since the lockdown. The reunion happens every Friday in a special telecast called “Prima Donnas: Watch from Home” on GMA’s official social media accounts.
Before the lockdown, “Prima Donnas” was the most followed afternoon drama as viewers are thrilled as they follow the engaging and surprising ups and downs in the moving family drama. Kendra’s (Aiko Melendez) dirty machinations to earn Jaime (Wendell Ramos) and Lady Prima’s (Chanda Romero) trust continue to put the life of Lilian (Katrina Halili), who was arrested for allegedly stealing the precious Donarian necklace, in great danger.
“I’m happy na nagkita-kita kami uli sa aming ‘Watch from Home’ telecast online,” says Katrina. “I also want to congratulate GMA as it celebrates its 70th anniversary. Alam nyo naman po, dito ako talaga nagsimula and through the 16 years ko rito, never nila akong pinabayaan. They gave me a lot of good shows and challenging roles, like my role as Lilian in ‘Prima Donnas’ kunsaan na-miss ko lahat ng co-stars ko. Masaya kami lagi noon sa se*t as a family kaya we really miss each other’s company so much.”

Shaira Diaz is happy to be the celebrity guest in the very popular “Bawal Judgmental” portion of “Eat Bulaga” recently. The hosts then were Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, with Paolo Ballesteros and Jose Manalo inside the studio, plus Vic Sotto at his own home.
The contestants are those who regularly join various beauty pageants both for girls and gays. Shaira was paired with a sari-sari store owner from Tacloban named Jennifer and they have to guess which ones among the contestants have joined more than 50 pageants and who have a regular job aside from being contesero or contesera. Shaira was so happy as she won a total of P40,000.

The “Bawal Judgmental” segment of “Eat Bulaga” continues to attract more viewers because of its relevant topics, like a recent episode where a young lawyer came out of his closet and the one where the guests were the country’s promising young mayors.
Host Paolo Ballesteros himself can’t help but cry when Atty. Klinton Torralba, one of the ten bar topnotchers in 2017, revealed his real sexual orientation. Yayo Aguila was the celebrity player and she wasn’t even able to guess that Klinton graduated from college with cum laude honors.
Klinton later said he graduated from UST and he took the chance to be honest about himself.
“Ang paalam ko sa parents ko, I will go to work,” he said. “I’m a part of the LGBT community but in our family, we never had the chance to talk about it because, as a traditional Filipino family, especially I’m from the province, it is not really a matter that we want to talk about. I guess, they were not ready and I was not ready. But until a few nights ago, when this opportunity was given to me, sabi ko, ‘Parang puwede. Why not confirm it on a national TV?’ I just want to unburden myself and my family of this dilemma, so here I am and I know for a fact that my parents will accept me. I will never stop making you proud. Sure ako na bilang abogado, alam ninyong palaging ipinaglalaban ko ang ibang tao.
Pero sa pagkakataong ito, sana hayaan nyo naman na ipaglaban ko ang sarili ko.”
In the episode featuring young mayors, one of the guests was the pretty Donya Tesoro of San Manuel, Tarlac, with Gardo Versoza as the celebrity contestant. When asked about her love life, she said she has none.
Vic pretended to call his son, Pasig Mayor Vico. “Hello, Vico, hello! O hayan, diniretso ko na ha,” he said, as if acting as a matchmaker for Mayor Donya and Vico.
People say that if “Eat Bulaga” would guest Vico Sotto and Donya Tesoro in the studio, they would have another hit love team in their hands, like AlDub.
