GLAIZA De Castro had a beautiful Filipiniana wedding by the beach in Zambales with her Irish husband, David Rainey, last January. Now, she is back to acting and gets to play another challenging role in an afternoon soap, “The Seed of Love,” directed by Ricky Davao.
She plays Eileen and she’s married to Mike Tan as Bobby. She gets pregnant with the help of in-vitro fertilization.
Things get complicated when Valerie Concepcion as Alexa turns up one day and tells Mike he actually got her pregnant after they had a recent one-night stand. It turns out Valerie is just so obsessed with Mike and would not let him go that easily.
Years ago, Mike had his sperm frozen for fear that he might get cancer just like his mother who died from it. So he had his seed frozen to be used in the event that he gets afflicted with the big C and might undergo chemotherapy that will destroy his sperm celles.
The big supporting cast include Boy2 Quizon, Tina Paner, Bernadette Allyson, Ervic Vijandre, Yanna Asistio, Ashley Rivera, and Allan Paule. “The Seed of Love” will start airing on GMA on May 8 to replace “Underage.”

She is part of “Voltes V: Legacy,” “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis” and the second season of the international series, “Almost Paradise.”
Max Collins looks so alluring in her stylish black outfit at the press preview of “Voltes V Legacy.” She plays a special supporting role in the show as the mother of Martin del Rosario, but she doesn’t mind.
“I am just so happy to be part of this big-budgeted and very important show of the Kapuso Network,” she says. “Anyone would be so proud to be part of such a prestigious superproduction. At maganda ang role ko as Rozalia, a humanoid alien. Ako ang first wife ni Dennis Trillo as Ned Armstrong at si Carla Abellana ang second wife.”
Aside from “Voltes V Legacy,” Max has already completed taping for the international series, “Almost Paradise.” “The first season was made with ABS-CBN. But this time, totally Hollywood na ang production and I’m very glad to be part of the second season, as produced by Dean Devlin who produced the blockbusters ‘Independence Day’ and ‘Godzilla’.”
What is her role in the series? “Bale ako ang third wheel sa relationship of Hollywood stars Christian Kane as Alex Walker and Samantha Richelle as Detective Kai who were part of the first season.”
She will also be part of the new Bong Revilla sitcom, “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis”. “We were told we’d be taping bago matapos ang April,” she says. “I will play the role of Elise, ang babaeng pagseselosan ni Beauty Gonzales who plays Sen. Bong’s wife.”

“I was in the US when I got the offer to do the movie and I said no,” she says. “But Direk Mac Alejandre said National Artist Ricky Lee wrote the script at ako raw ang naisip niya for the lead role. Nang mabasa ko ang script, I decided to come home. Now, I have no regrets that I did it, kasi maganda talaga ang role ko and I learned so much from working with Direk Mac.”
She doesn’t look it but Sheree has a 14-year-old son from a previous relationship with Gian Magdangal. Would she be willing to work with Gian in a movie? “Yes, why not? We’re good friends naman. Okay lang to work with him kasi comfortable na kami with each other.”
As Debbie in “Sex Games,” Sheree is the wife of Josef Elizalde. They’re a wealthy couple who likes spicing up their marriage by inviting others to join them while cavorting in bed.
Sometimes they even go to the extreme in satisfying their sexual whims by abducting other people who they then force to join them in their kinky activities. “Sex Games” premieres on Vivamax this April 28.
