Cebu Pacific enhances baggage policy
Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, is offering every Juan more options to choose from for their check-in baggage as it rolls out its enhanced baggage policy.
Passengers now may avail up to three (3) pieces of baggage and choose from 20kg, 24kg, 28kg, or 32kg variants. Previously, CEB passengers could only purchase up to two (2) pieces of any combination of 20kg or 32kg baggage allowance.
Customers may buy the pre-paid bags as they book their flights and add additional baggage allowance via the Manage Booking portal using their MyCebuPacific accounts.
Customers who opt for a “GO Easy” or “GO Flexi” option only need to select “Upgrade” on the baggage included in their bundle. Meanwhile, customers who choose the “GO Basic” option will first have to select the CEB baggage in the add-ons page after locking in their flight dates.
“Cebu Pacific always strives to be customer centric. We updated our baggage policy so that passengers can have greater control over their baggage allowance at lower rates than current airport charges. This could help our customers lessen their expenses and experience a faster bag drop at the airport,” said Candice Iyog, CEB Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer.
CEB advises its passengers to book their flights online by creating a MyCebuPacific account to get notifications about their upcoming trips, manage their bookings, access their Travel Funds, among other features.
Online check-in is also available via the Cebu Pacific app and website, reducing passenger waiting time at the airport and allowing them to go straight to their assigned boarding gates.
Eastwest’s Magenta Race recognized as Best CSR Initiative by the Digital Banker
EastWest, one of the fastest-growing banks in the country today, was recently awarded “Best CSR Initiative” by The Digital Banker at the Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards for the Bank’s project “Magenta Race,” a virtual run/walk and cycle for breast cancer.
In its debut year, EastWest employees rallied to raise funds for breast cancer detection and prevention of the beneficiaries of Philippine Foundation for Breast Care Inc. (PFBCI), also known as Kasuso.org. This was done through the launch of the very first Magenta Race–a virtual run/walk and cycle for breast cancer, which was able to raise a significant amount through the employees’ personal donations.
During the awarding, EastWest expressed gratitude for the acknowledgement of their efforts, while also committing to continued efforts in the name of women and the fight against breast cancer.
Now on its second annual run, EastWest carries on its advocacy for breast cancer awareness by inviting more bikers and runners to participate. The second Race kicked off last October 13 with 119 runners and 29 cyclists.

KFC Kentucky Town Christmas lights up the BGC skyline
KFC Philippines rings in the holidays in a major way—pulling out all stops to light up its Bonifacio Triangle branch—kicking off a series of activities geared at making this Christmas a season to remember.
Adorned with all the things that make Christmas simply the most wonderful time of year, KFC Bonifacio Triangle in BGC shone spectacularly at a lighting ceremony held on December 6, 2023—the first leg in a series of events for KFC Kentucky Town Christmas.
KFC understands just how much Pinoys look forward to this time of the year—an anticipation that starts as early September, when the malls start playing Christmas tunes. Of course, there are challenges for some— tight budgets, long hours in traffic, and the holiday rush that can dampen the festive spirit.
This is why KFC chose to kick-off Kentucky Town Christmas in a way that sparks hope—lighting up one of its branches to signal that no matter the Christmas, KFC is there to help you celebrate through a bucket (or two) of its finger lickin’ good friend chicken.
Kentucky Town Christmas is also KFC Philippines’s way of saying its huge thanks to all its Pinoy fans who continue to enjoy its world-famous, and world-loved fried chicken—whether at one of its 372 stores nationwide or any of the 145 countries where the Colonel’s secret recipe is served.
