Twins Mavy and Cassie Legaspi are slowly carving a name in showbiz for their versatility and work ethic. And from whom did they inherit these talents, aside from their good genes, but their parents, actress Carmina Villaroel and actor-director Zoren Legaspi.
Carmina and Zoren are taking the lead in the GMA drama, “Stories from the Heart: The End of Us.” The couple are excited to be paired – revealing that working together has shown that even at their age, they can still play leads and carry a show.
It cannot be stressed enough that they are very comfortable working together, although both have quirks that they work on.
“Nandoon ‘yung respeto and pagmahahalan. Yes, we fight but na iron ‘yung mga bagay-bagay. We make sure we talk about it,” Carmina said.
One of their differences is how they attack their characterisation. Zoren explained that Carmina is more a natural actress who can easily flip a switch and become her character, while he is a method actor who has to prepare himself mentally, emotionally, physically before facing the cameras.
“I wanted to present a different character – something that the audience has never seen before,” said Zoren.
“Stories from the Heart: The End of Us” will start airing on December 20 and is directed by the award-winning Zig Dulay.
