Yukii now ‘Batang Quiapo’ mainstay

“I’m just a simple girl,” Tiktok sensation and Cornerstone star Yukii Yumiko Baldueza Takahashi stressed during her recent introduction to the press at The Cliff Restobar along Timog in Quezon City.

The 21-year-old may have come from a simple background – a student of La Consolacion College in Caloocan who dreamt of becoming a doctor – but in the short time since she’s debuted on Tiktok on March 15, 2021, she has already amassed 8.6 million followers and 96.6 million likes on Tiktok and 757,000 followers on Instagram.

She has starred in multiple projects across different platforms in various roles. Yukii’s rise in the world of Filipino showbiz is nothing short of impressive.

So much has already happened since her first ever onstage performance at “Sunday Noontime Live!” And with more big ticket projects coming very soon, fans and netizens can expect that she’ll be making even bigger waves in the industry in the near future.

As an actress in narrative shows, her most notable acting project as of recent is ABS-CBN’s primetime series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” where she is a regular cast member who plays the character of Camille, the romantic interest of McCoy De Leon’s character.

“I’m now a mainstay of the series,” she excitedly announced.

Her character has become well-loved that the people behind the production has made Camille a regular, she said.

Closely following behind her “Batang Quiapo” role is her leading role in Puregold’s online series titled “Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile” where she shares the top billing with Wilbert Ross. She is also a regular cast member of NET25’s sitcom “Ano’ng Meron Kay Abok?” led by comedian Empoy Marquez. As a host, she was previously involved in shows such as TV5’s “Sing Galing,” Kumu’s reality talent competition “Top Class: Rise to P-Pop Stardom,” and NET25’s game show “Tara Game, Agad Agad!” alongside main host Aga Muhlach.

As an actress in movies, she co-starred in “I Love Lizzy” which premiered in cinemas earlier this year. Produced by Mavx Productions, it was directed by RC Delos Reyes and had Carlo Aquino and Barbie Imperial in the lead.

Aside from being an actress and a host, she is also a sought-after brand endorser, further cementing her popularity as a social media influencer.

Some of her upcoming acting projects include: “Call My Manager!” (an HBO limited series starring Judy Ann Santos and directed by Erik Matti) and “Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars” (a Max Productions movie).

Yukii wishes to improve her skills and dreams to be a versatile actress. Aside from dancing, she wants to develop singing, especially because with her in Cornerstone Entertainment is hit singer Moira dela Torre.
