RUGBY secretary general Ada Milby believes the Philippine Olympic Committee must take a united stand in urging the Inter-Agency Task Force in charge of the COVID-19 pandemic to allow national athletes to return to the gym in preparation for the resumption of actual competitions.
“The National Sports Associations need to get their plans (for training) together and put a joint request to the IATF. This is what the POC can really do. It’s been nine months since our athletes have not had actual training,” noted Milby, who is running as an independent candidate for second vice president in the Nov. 27 POC polls.
“The strength of the POC is being able to communicate this aspiration with the IATF and can be a really big turning point in getting sports back on the field and on the court,” added Milby, who has been adopted into the slate of POC presidential aspirant and archery chief Atty. Clint Aranas.
