THIRDY Ravena has given everybody a glimpse of what he can do for San-en NeoPhoenix in his first two games as an import in the Japan B. League.

He gets the chance to prove his worth at home today when San-en NeoPhoenix tangles with Osaka Evessa at the Toyohashi City General Gymnasium.

The match is set at 6:05 p.m. in Manila, with the 6-foot-2 Ravena determined to lead his squad to a bounce back win after a 74-81 loss on the road to Shimane Susanoo Magic last Sunday.

Ravena scored 12 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss that dropped San-en NeoPhoenix to 2-10.

In his debut last Saturday against the same opponent, Ravena had 13 points on top of two caroms and two assists as San-en NeoPhoenix hacked out a nail-biting 83-82 decision.

San-en NeoPhoenix’s Serbian coach Branislav Vicentic had glowing words for his prized wingman and is hoping Ravena can spell the big difference during the season.

“He is one of our excellent players and you can see it with his talent. He knows almost everything,” Vicentic said.

“We talk a lot and I feel that he can help our game positively and he’ll be the right player for us heading into December,” he added.

Ravena, 23, arrived in Japan last Oct. 15 but he had to undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
