Wanted: Over 8K production workers

OVER 8,000 production workers are currently in demand in the country, according to the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE).

Based on its weekly data, the BLE said production workers are the most in-demand workers in the country during the period of May 5 to 11 at 8,118 job vacancies.

Coming at second place, it said, are call center agents with 5,209 job vacancies, followed by customer service assistants with 3,707 employment opportunities.

The BLE said there are 2,015 vacancies for telemarketers while 1,660 domestic helpers are also wanted.

Completing the top 10 vacancies are financial consultant (1,210), executive assistant (1,206), staff nurse (1,148), customer relations officer (1,007), and production controller (1,001).

Also in demand jobs, according to BLE, are cashiers (980), service crew (635), office clerks (559), quality assurance inspectors (505), street sweepers (500), ship crew (500), production machine operators (417), sales clerk (363), property consultant (320), and financial planner (308).

The BLE said the numbers are sourced from the different Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) nationwide as well as from the online job and applicant matching portal PhilJobNet.

Interested applicants, the BLE said, may coordinate with the PESO nearest to them or log in to PhilJobsNet for more details.
