Vice President Leni Robredo visited on Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Pasig Mega Market in Pasig City, where her office launched its Community Mart program this week, in partnership with the City Government of Pasig.
Together with Mayor Vico Sotto, VP Leni was able to meet members of the Community Mart – Pasig Mega Market team from both the OVP and the local government of Pasig, as well as the tricycle drivers who are part of the program. She was also able to observe the operations of the public market as safety measures are currently observed.The Community Mart program is an app-based delivery service that aims to help small market vendors and tricycle drivers affected by the ECQ. On its first day, the Community Mart – Pasig Mega Market’s total sales reached more than P71,000.
