VP Leni inspects frontliners’ temporary quarters

Vice President Leni Robredo visited the site of her office’s The Oasis Project at the Lung Center of the Philippines on Sunday, June 7, 2020, to check on the progress of the initiative, which seeks to build temporary shelters for frontliners within the hospital’s premises.
The Oasis Project aims to provide an area for medical frontliners to “relax and recharge” amid the heavy load they carry in leading the fight against COVID-19. It is made possible by the collaboration of various Angat Buhay partners, including Architect Peach Buencamino and Architect Rene Heray of the United Architects of the Philippines – Elliptical Chapter; interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario; Shirley Sanders of Gardens by Sanders; and Ronnie Traballo of Bomanite.
The shelters were donated by IKEA Philippines, and were assembled with the help of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Other Angat Buhay partners and donors also contributed to furnishing the shelters, among others. (Photo by OVP)
