PASIG Mayor Vico Sotto will go on leave for several days to recover from a platelet-rich plasma procedure done on his knees last Saturday.
Sotto said his doctor advised him against walking for at least two days after the operation.
“I had so many injuries in my life that I cannot remember all of them but I do have a big problem with my knees because it hurts when I walk. I also don’t have time for therapy or the gym,” Sotto said in his Facebook page.
He joked that he needs to take care of himself, adding that although he is only 33-years-old, his knees are as fragile as that of a senior citizen.
He added he will undergo a hyaluronic acid lubricant treatment and a strengthening program next month. — Christian Oineza
