Vice Ganda just made history as the first Filipino to win Best Lifestyle, Entertainment Presenter/Host in the fourth Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA).
He beat out contenders from other Asian countries for her work in ABS-CBN’s “Everybody, Sing!,” the country’s first community singing game show.
Vice couldn’t contain his joy upon learning that he was hailed as the grand winner.
“Overwhelmed! Ang gulo ng pakiramdam! Naiihi ako na naduduwal na ‘di ko maintindihan. Nakakabaliw sa saya! Thank you Lord! This is unbelievable!” the “It’s Showtime” mainstay tweeted.
Vice is also the only Filipino that won in the entertainment categories of the AACA. ABS-CBN led the roster of national winners that represented the country in this year’s AACA with 11 personalities and programs.
Last year, Kapamilya star Arjo Atayde brought honor to the country as the first Filipino who won Best Actor in a Leading Role in the AACA. In 2019, the Best News or Current Affairs Presenter/Anchor was bagged by ANC “Market Edge” former anchor, Cathy Yang, while “MMK: Toy Car” won Best Single Drama or Telemovie in the 2018 AACA.
