IMMIGRATION Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado yesterday reshuffled airport heads at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to streamline airport operations and enhance efficiency.
Viado said the BI terminal heads at the NAIA as well as the chief of the Immigration Protection and Border Enforcement Section (I-PROBES) were reshuffled to improve delivery of service and tighten immigration procedures.
“This reshuffling is the result of a comprehensive study of airport procedures. We are committed to streamlining operations at the country’s main gateway. Improving airport efficiency is one of my administration’s top priorities, and we will continue making necessary changes to ensure smooth immigration processing,” Viado said.
Via assured the public that the agency is prioritizing the needs of the traveling public while ensuring that border security is not compromised.
“These adjustments are part of our mission to provide faster, more efficient service to passengers, while still maintaining strict enforcement of immigration laws. We are strengthening our systems to meet the increasing demands of modern travel,” Viado added.
Viado also said the reshuffle reflects the BI’s long-term goal of ensuring that airport operations remain efficient and transparent, which will be crucial as the bureau continues to address emerging challenges in border security.
