LOOKING for a venue to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Why not go to a COVID-19 vaccination site to get jabbed?

This was the suggestion of the Department of Health (DOH) to couples still thinking of ways to spend February 14 together.

“Get boosted together. This is free and will surely protect you and your loved one against COVID-19,” said the DOH in a social media post.

“The secret to a long lasting relationship is having updated protection. This Valentine’s Day, make sure you have updated protection against COVID-19,” it furthered.

Tomorrow, couples and families are expected to celebrate Valentine’s Day in various venues, such as malls, restaurants, and parks.

This as the country has eased COVID-19 restrictions with cases already on a downward trend.

Nevertheless, the DOH continues to appeal to the public to get COVID-19 booster shots to prevent a new surge in cases.

Based on the latest DOH data, there are 73.84 million fully vaccinated individuals in the country. But merely 21.39 million of the fully vaccinated individuals have received booster shots.

Aside from going to COVID-19 jab sites, the DOH said going to parks and other green spaces would be good for their mental health.
